Grayson doesn't want a child between them. He even wonders why he even said such a thing as his rights as those words came out of his own mouth. He doesn't know what he's feeling because he hasn't felt hardly anything before.

What he really wants is to be exclusive with Dane. A "shortcut" to that is having a baby. If it hadn't been brought up by that woman, Grayson wouldn't have thought about it. He might have asked, "Is it really so horrible of a thought of having a child with me that you wouldn't hesitate to take contraception?" But he was there to find out more about Dane to make himself more special.

He also is getting super pissed off with how nonchalant Dane is about his own life. He feels no one else cares and it's shattering the rules of society he was taught to live by. The pregnancy argument was along this vein as well, since Grayson puts Dane on the "worthy" tier. He doesn't want him to get hurt, to think of his own life as expendable because it all makes him seem like a piece of garbage to him. The man treats his own family like toys sometimes so others are mainly NPCs to him. For someone he wants to say they want to be less than an NPC, it is driving him nuts.

I do believe Dane is his fated partner because no one else could make him think and feel like he is now. People say they come alive when they first met or whenever they see their partner, after all. For Grayson, he's being brought down into the mud like the rest of us. I am happy to see him crash and burn.

And on the same vein, Dane, sweetie-pie, please go to therapy. You have shit to unpack. Grayson's obsessive behavior should drive you to do at least a few sessions before getting into why you can't form lasting social ties outside of your coworkers (which you're likely only okay with since you work a job that could end you any day.)

He's supposed to go to his lair. I know he can't postpone being sick but I just see all that friendship going up in smoke. They're good for each other. (One needs the other more than the other.) He'll be all alone with that crappy father again.

The end of the chapter is super cute but I couldn't help but start to think why she went to Yor and not Loid. Or, you know, one big family together to scare the nightmare away.

I came back to post this because it's been so long between chapters my brain remembered, "Loid's in the hospital, dummy."

As a chronic over thinker, this chapter was amazing.

But more than that, I lost my sh*t when he called him pretty because it flashed in my head before I scrolled enough to see Dawun do exactly what I thought he would.

F*cking brilliant.

Wow, how did I not notice until this chapter that he has cauliflower ears? It's reasonable for being in judo. But you can see his ears are normal when he's younger. He sometimes is drawn with normal ears but close up, his upper ears are puffy. So are the ears on their judo oppa, the one "string bean" likes.

I didn't check all the chapters but I did look back at the beginning.

See Don Bluth films. Secret of Nihm. An American Tale. Yes, they're cool because they're all mice but like real life, confidence is key.

Though we're all reading about a mouse that isn't cool but his relationship is super cute. I think the author might be going for "base it on my life" model.

Especially the death of the shaman. I thought for sure it was the mom. But not HER mom. I will admit when her mom appeared in her dream before getting married and her dad suddenly disappearing after trying to make contact, I thought their family had powers and the shaman was a rival of theirs or something. But her mom really stuck around to protect her baby. "Blossom's" mom wishes she was that courageous.

My naive butt thankfully only got to experience the close up, knee grab. My parents would notice and pull me out to tell me what would have happened next when it was safe instead of life letting me learn first hand. I didn't get it then but I started to in university when I volunteered for a call center to arrange rides for women near campus to not have to walk home by themselves at night.

I want to be able to frolic though the fields under the moonlight without worrying about a man, racoon, bear, or mountain lion to pop up out of nowhere. Is that really so hard to ask for? The neighborhood cats are not the greatest security detail (though it's fun as hell having them follow behind.)

This is a series that didn't come back to me after the site crash. It's popped in and out of my mind for months. I couldn't find it under this historical, romance, or age-gap tags because there were so many. Thank you, universe.

I actually screamed out loud when TJ picked him up. Our boy was never destined to have a quiet, unassuming life as much as he tried to be that kind of person.
