Victor is shown to be a child who said to be a monster, probably due to his genius mind and capability that the average person can’t understood, can be seen through his experiments, bring back the dead to life, potions, creations.

Henry is supposed to be human, outstanding appearance, charming demeanour, composure in all cases/lack of obvious expression, good at socializing (business, lovers, …). We can dissect and understood him better through the reaction of his parts, “heart”, “head”, “dick”.
“Heart”, his heart is tied to Victor, even when the body is somewhere else, his heart urge and lead him back to Victor, established since the beginning and throughout the series. However, that heart is not strong enough to erase doubts of the mind, no matter whose mind it attached to, Adam or Henry. A devoted heart that makes him want to clean, cook, take care, and more for Victor, however prone to damage from loneliness.
“Head”, is the most complicated component of Henry, through dialogues exposed his high EQ, great analysis skills, very logical, almost abstained of emotions, from Victor words, as if V became a lab rat. A common trait of those minds, are doubts, doubts that usually manifest as cynical. Through the dialogues within this series, we can coined a few traits from Henry’s head.
- Thrills seeker, a dopamine junkie, he let things happens as long as he deemed it interesting, and dropped it the moment it’s not. Including chasing the main actress.
- He found Victor to be very interesting, he can’t stand the idea of not seeing Victor’s face/reaction, even during sex. He think lying V, pathetic V, crying V, … as cute, or interesting, this included when V feeling secure, loved, happy. He almost seems to yearned to consumes all of Victor like a ravenous beast.
- He seems to think his mind has complete immunity to emotions, especially love, deeming the love potion V made to be a sham potion. But as established before, V is a genius, if he believes that is a love potion, it should be. You can’t fill a water bottle more if it is already at max capacity, how can Henry fall in love with Victor, when he can’t love Victor anymore than he already has. This proves that he is blind towards his affection towards V.
- “head” mentioned “nothing can be changed, no matter Henry knows about V planning on killing his sex partners or not”, this means 2 things, he doesn’t care (enough) about his sex partners, whether they are alive or dead, to impact his actions, AND, it cannot change what leads to his death. If you consider the first thing he ask V when they first found him “do you still resent him”, we can assumed this is a question that bother the mind.

Confusing. MC was looping 2nd June, beginning of summer semester (?), some loops MC is wearing short sleeves, cause duh summer is hot, but some loops he is wearing full on jacket (?), then time stop looping? When? And it’s now apparent cold in June and MC need to wear warmer (?).

From checking on the author’s works on Novelupdates, even highest rating novel series Untouchable Lady was not as popular as this series in webtoon/manhwa terms. And I think it can be tribute towards the artist that adapted it, Baek Ji Young.

A wonderful story can be lost through adaptation process or in translation, but good visual narration skills with amazing art can bring a mediocre piece to live, especially when creative re-arranging are allowed.

We can’t judge this series as a whole due to its similarity state of the miscarriage child of the artist. But the charm of what we had now is undeniable. And I guess, all we can do now, is mourn the grief with the artist, a piece of work, a mental child that never got the chance to fully developed and came to be.

Justice for the artist!

The novel of this is really good, especially the yearning and suffering to be together is so good. The writing fluctuates, was pretty bad in the first 2-3 maps, even the author admits that her writing is not great to begin with, but had an idea that she just want to make it into reality and was surprised how much praise she got. But the writing got better later on and stabilized near end.

The novel peaked in the middle going to the end, with a pretty soft blow ending. Glad they are getting a manhua adaptation, but man does it did not do the novel justice. The art is pretty, the visual narrative skill is lacking, it definitely lacks the great horror visualization. It’s at times like this I wish this novel got the same adaptation art narrative advantage as GSGW.

M saying all this cause this used to be one of my most fav novel years ago, and wish it manhua could also peak and moved the heart of the audience like the novel did.

InnocentSheep answered question about question
The idea of ethics stemmed from human self-preservation. It is like how most people who do most harm are people who practice their own extreme justice. If you ask them, did they ever think what they have always been doing is wrong or not. It’s always something like “I’m doing this for the greater good” “I follow the teachings of god”. E......

Like title, hostage situation, amnesia, personality disorder, jumping between shades of red flags.

Seme said first time kissing uke make he puke, like kissing a dog…. :) good for you buddy, not everyone in this world allow their dog to kiss them.

Is it just me who think mc personality doesn’t match his background???
Another poor uke x higher ranking seme, but worse since seme can’t even protect him.
How can someone with absolutely no spine survived in a rough area (13 area), and is quick to bow on pressure??? I have absolutely no problem with mc personality btw, but at this point it just seems like author is projecting. You are telling me someone who came from a rough background, was able to survive through adulthood through being submissive to authority, as docile as a lamb, but still have their morality in tack? You must be joking, have a spine please.
The art is pretty, character personality is not bad, world building is not bad,…etc. But candy taste sweet doesn’t mean you should put it in your soup or your bowl of rice. Individual details are fine, but in reality it’s not fine dining like expectations, rather just a hotpot where someone put chocolate and all type of chillis and peppers together.
