This feels more like those soap opera dramas i watch in TV as a kid. Misunderstandings galore. It even has the trope of 'take this money and leave my son.'
For the first few chapters, I could get behind the misunderstandings especially for the uke's part since the seme keeps giving mixed signals. For the seme's part, I mean with parents like that no wonder he's as dumb as a brick when it comes to his emotions.
Still, with how low my expectations are for omegaverse contract partners drama like this, I'm just glad there was no neglect or physical abuse or rape while they were together. The sexual part well.. is debatable but the uke did consent (it's just that the uke says no a lot when they're at it and the seme doesn't listen when he says no or wait, [artist needs to stop that if they want to portray loving sex or else the seme would be an asshole instead of the uke being shy or something.] and the age gap... is a bit but at the very least, they weren't together when they were young and met up only years after?[artist could've fixed this by making the age gap a bit smaller because 14 and 19 with their first kiss is horrendous or they could've cut out the kiss scene all together.]).
But anw, the seme isn't an irredeemable piece like the other dominant alpha shits. Actually, you could definitely see how the seme likes the uke but just couldn't process it with how backwards his parents teachings were. It was funny in a way.
However, yeah this isn't some amazing plotline. If you've been eating good BL, this would taste bland as hell but if you've eaten worst shit.. This one would be palatable and you could even get behind it. It's just a matter of what you've read before it to compare 'cause seriously, it ain't as bad imo.

Istg I remember being hooked on this when it first came out and the translation was kind of confusing. But rereading this again now, was my mind inhaling copium gas? Maybe everyone just remembered the art since it looks so good and our mind just omitted how lousy the plot was. Because srsly, i remember I really liked this before. Now, i feel like my hair's going to fall out from how dumb the characters are.
Body proportion is crazy but hidden in those absurd amount of sex and terrible size gap.. i think i like how the characters were portrayed.
Toxic as hell relationship but I'm pretty sure that's the point. Jin and Ido are both the reddest of flag(black even) and they know that. Probably why the story revolved around how LGW accepts them. It's an unconventional shape of relationship.
I like how complex the emotion is and how communication can fall through even when they're talking just like how Jin didn't know what words to say and how he's running away even when he was still there. I also thought that Ido always testing and pushing LGW to test him was interesting because there exist people like that. Their validation for love is great so they get lost in trying hard to make themselves the worst kind of person. The both of them although very mental, felt real or very dynamic? Complex? Idk how to describe it. (Only in their experience in the relationship part.. not the bullying and stalking part because although it's part of their character, no sane person would do that)
However, even though that's the case.. I don't fully think that the story is great. DV everytime LGW says that even when he doesn't want to continue, it was okay because it was Ido and Jin. There are still some problems that they just brushed off plus from how often their toxic trait gets the better of them, I say the relationship's going to crash and burn from how they can wear each other out. They need therapy.
Still, in some parts of the story, I did like reading it and I chose to think that this is not so bad. Although, it does portray polyamory in a bad light. It's definitely not a manhwa to read when you expect a healthy and nice relationship with nice and understanding people. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
The title made me think that ML is badshit yandere crazy hence the confinement. Like the ML would go crazy thinking that FL is trying to escape while she just be lazing around in the mansion.
But it isn't.. small disappointment.. (´ . . . `)
Comedic but mahn the inconsistencies.. art is very adorable tho.

I'm not annoyed as much by her personality. Seeing as her parents have perpetually put her in place saying how useless she was since she was a child, her confidence would definitely take a hit.
I believe you can only validate yourself when you are satisfied in what you can do and are doing what you want to do. Her goal is to be a good bride but there are no situations that can shape her up to be such. Everyone's just trying to save her and keeps her in the dark most of the time.
How a good storytelling goes, if she doesn't know something, a situation will come up to show her a lesson in how to tackle it before they present her with a bigger but similar problem. However, it's always, 'a big powerful person' takes care of it for her and she doesn't have to worry about anything, story. No wonder the girl feels useless. Nobody wants her to do anything.
Then, we have this dragon arc and I thought she's finally be able to do something especially when she's leading up to becoming something. (Shrine maiden bloodline, the cats, and the dragon asking for her to help)
But then, what do you mean the ones who broke the chains were the cats? Why can't she do something? Like accidentally unlocking shrine maiden powers or something and dissolving the locks?
Like every goddamn time that she says she wants to do something, a person comes in and do something about the situation instead. What about her agency?????? She's changing for sure, but she hasn't had a lot to act on her "want" to do something. IT'S SO ANNOYING!! ヽ(`Д´)ノ
As if her sole purpose was to be helpless and helped liekkkkk get out if my face
I think she did do it, actually. The cats serve her now... they used followed her commands and the power of her earnest wish gave them the strength.
