I seriously want to cry now... like.. I can totally relate to some feelings in this manga... like "being family" part...or "so close but so far away.." .. "scared of others in family finding out "(or in my case scared of *him* finding it out too)..

I was confused about it too, chapter 585 was messy but to me it looked like he didn't lose his hand/fingers completely, just got it crushed really badly by Kamui's hit.
