I love how they’re both gung-ho about gender representation, feel like they both could be fluid. Another point, if hes just going to cross dress every chapter, the author makes it seem like he didn’t like it but as the series progressed, he didn’t mind crossdressing. The author should just let him express himself through it as a break through of the best friend role into a character who can dress themselves freely but I know it pays the bills to act like a tsundere so wtv Airplane bro.
I also wonder what the heroines would do once he becomes romanceable. I know they’ve become sort of a friend group by now but they all still like the same guy. SPOILERS BELOW
I expected the regression trope but what has the MC even done to make him romanceable? They rely on the scientist for a lot of the ending and while Misaki has also tried some plots, I haven’t seen the MC do much of anything except try to touch him. Sure he loves him blah blah blah. But as a regressor, you would inevitably also gain some trauma of everyone forgetting and that you’re not real. The fourth wall breaks easy but when will it actually affect the game characters? (ORV ref) It could turn to a dark psychological thing fast like with DDLC.
something I’m also concerned is that the MC didnt see misaki as a lovable or romantic person until he crossdressed. Something about that is iffy to me. I know that the MC sees Misaki as a man and he says it’s better, but I’m wondering if he never crossdressed, would the MC have a heroine ending?
To address the last bit of your comment, I think it's entirely possible that if misaki never crossdressed that Harata would have ended up with one of the heroines, though I think he probably wouldn't be fully satisfied with that. It seems like he thought he was straight before all this so misaki wasn't even like. A consideration until him crossdressing made it click that like. That's how romantic attraction feels. Misaki crossdressing just opened that door to realization/understanding of how he probably already felt to an extent I think

I loved the first couple but the second felt like nothing burger, I missed the first couple’s codependency, obsession and workplace romance all in 6 chapters. Meanwhile Incubus and Mr.Squirter(i don’t remember their names and I’m not rereading) get 10 chapters of “doomed lovers,” jealousy arc, and magical powers? It felt like a different story and I understand the sexual tension of angsty immortal powerful men and their human lovers, but it seemed like the author just picked angsty tropes and threw them in a pot. The onions aren’t even cut, just burnt. I appreciate this authors works, bought their manga, and support them online. Idk may be personal bias: maybe I just like clear visual consent and less magical powers.
side note, if the incubus meant to possess the subordinate and the incubus is strictly a top, would the boss have bottomed? that’d be cool to see.
