Maybe it just me but when it comes to op healers regrowing limbs I can’t stand it when that sort of healing happens to a character that has been an amputee for a long time especially without prior consent, and it becomes framed as the beautiful wonderful thing that some no longer has live without their missing limb
It kinda turns me off from certain works , I only really figured it out when I saw a character experience limb loss and never getting their arm back, cuz usually characters don’t lose limbs in the first and if they do, they wake up with arm reached either through medical intervention or fantasy solutions doing the same or a similar thing
Our one armed lion dilf was just as good a character as he was before and after his getting grown back and I’m a bit miffed at how this moment was used to frame how selfless and kind of a protagonist chika is instead of how his partners adjusted to no longer having their arm missing and knee injury(?)(I thought bear guy had a knee injury that gave him chronic pain but I may be mistaken)
It's cheap writing.mthis entire story is. But I get you. I guess amputees struggle without limbs and I guess they'd want to have their limbs back but this kind of trope sends an annoying message that you're not complete as a (human being) without your limbs.
Well, something along the lines of that..and I definitely hate that it's a mary sue entwined with the healing limbs thing too. Anyway I'm not an amputee so I can't say much. Maybe it's not offensive or maybe it is, but it sure is annoying and lazy
I really want shiggy to get a redemption arc or something like that. I mean why else would hori-Sensei give us tenko’s backstory
maybe to show us he's been evil all along and he willingly decided to join the bad side? yes, his childhood was horrible & he has a reason to be fucked up but look at todoroki. his was almost the same & he didn't decide to turn into a villain. i might have pitied shiggy if he didn't basically like killing his entire family.
But look at Todoroki and Shigaraki, they both had abusive parents but when Tenko got his quirk he didn’t understand what was going on, he thought it was a villain doing it all until his father showed up and he was a child that just realized that his dad was not the best of fathers. And sure Todoroki had a horrible dad too but he had his siblings as a support and when he went to UA where he made friends and had examples of good adults. Not to mention he knew his dad was trash For a long time while tenko had no one to help him and when AFO came to get him he basically manipulated tenko. He had no one to reach out to help him except for a supervillain and Tomura grew up around at the very least three poor examples of adults(AFO&the doctor) that would not be good for the mental development or health of a five year old. And it’s even said that Tomura is a man child, he never got the chance to grow up and mature into an adult. And AFO encouraged that behavior and how can tenko find fault in the only person who ever came to help him when he was alone in the world.
oh wow. u actually have me sympathising with him a little. afo did manipulate him but sadly he'll never realise it since he's the only father figure he knows. i still feel like he's too far gone for a redemption arc tho. he's gotten too powerful, is causing too much destruction and he'll try to achieve his goal no matter what since he hates everyone. maybe if he still had a family member alive they'd be able to convince him but rn the only 1's he'll even listen to are just as bad as he is. the only way i see this ending is with his death. i doubt deku himself would ever forgive him so there's no way anyone else will either.
