But I just think this doesn't apply to Ideum. Sure, what you say is fine but just not in the case of these 2. We clearly are shown on multiple occasions that they are starting to develop feelings for one another, they are on the precipice of talking about exclusivity and going out and getting more dick would not better the situation. I mean what is the purpose of that when Ideun clearly wants to be loved not only fucked. It's his whole character - mom who struggles to show affection and love, his insecurities about his scar. There's nothing wrong with your idea it just doesn't really belong in this story and it feels like you're projecting.
With that being said, I follow my own strict rule of accepting the story as it is told by the author. If she decides to go that route (which mind you didn't even happen yet and you are already worried about Ideun being hated) I would accept it as fact, no hate towards the author, readers, Ideun but I will also analyze my feelings and if I feel uncomfortable I'll just quietly drop it.
But again what your worried about, what you want to happen - none of it happened yet.

i need someone who read the prequel to explain something for me. so i havent read home cooking but now that we got pd’s pov of the past it seems that he hasn’t really fallen in love again or made any effort to be in a serious relationship after breaking up with jooyoung. and the flashback also didnt showed him interacting with characters from the previous series specially he’s love interest in the prequel. so my question is how serious was he with mc from the prequel. like whats the dynamic? bcus if he genuinely liked and wanted the mc from the prequel then that’s a big plothole for the story cus author was clearly implying here that pd has been yearning for jooyoung for a long time and has never felt “love” until he meets him again 10 years later.
pd didnt really like the mc from the prequel romantically, it was only bc the mc was trying to suck up to him for screentime (smart) and called pd handsome and praised him up. pd saw that as mc being interested so he pursued him, but told him that it wasnt love and that he never really had feelings like that or anything for the prequel mc. lowkey he just thought that the prequel mc was cute so he wanted to hookup, but it wasnt rlly that romantic or anything. pd was super fine in the prequel so im coming here immediately after i finished the prequel LMFAO
