I always suspected that there will be no happy ending and this season is a confirmation that Jihwan doesn't and never loved Soo-young because he's physically incapable of doing so. It's an obsession. Soo-young is an anchor that Jihwan latched on to for stability.
I wonder if Soo-young will be able to free himself from Jihwan or if he'll have an ending where he'll stay with Jihwan out of complacency.
Considering dropping this because I really wanted to see Soo-young living a happy life. It's pretty painful to see him in his current state.
So many people here keep saying that ml still thinks that they are nothing to each other which is confusing to me. His inner monologue in ch.49 showed that he's coming to terms with the fact that mc means a lot more to him than he did at the start. Perhaps he's not willing to call it love yet but he definitely realises he has feelings. Him saying "say that shit when you're sober" and then thinking the same thing when mc falls asleep, I understood it as he wants mc to feel that way and he accepts his feelings. He wants mc to stay by his side not because of convenience anymore. He's prideful and not good at expressing emotions in words which can definitely be annoying. And he will definitely fuck things over with his words in the future too.
I thought showing this chapter from ml's pov was to send a point across that he's not denying his feelings towards mc. Is it just me who understood it this way?
This season is pretty badly written. I know Gyuha took their kids to his parents temporarily not to overwhelm Chayoung, but we never see Gyuha worry about the kids (except once during the phone call) or even visit them from time to time. And when Gyuha worries about Chayoung's feelings, the worries never include the fact that the father of his kids potentially won't ever love them or remember them again. His worries are always about the feelings that Chayoung feels towards him alone.
Also, yes, Chayoung lost his memories but any person would ask questions about the past to try to recover some memories. If you found out you have kids, you would ask questions about them, whether you like the fact that you're a parent or not. 28 year old Chayoung was a control freak, he cared about his image and every aspect of his life. There's no way he'd be just letting himself live in the dark.
It's as of the author didn't know how to handle family plot, so they completely removed the kids from the picture, as if they don't exist. Relying on forced drama to continue the story even though the character actions make barely any sense.

I'm on chapter 5 and dying of secondhand embarrassment
I hope mc becomes better at flirting soon because I'm suffering here
don't worry keep going!!!
I am but after that univeristy trip scene (mc exposing his mushroom), I had to take a half an hour break. If I was in mc's shoes, I would've changed my name and moved abroad
