Is it just me who really dgaf about the kids, the babies don't really add anything to the story at this point, they're just there. I'd rather just see gyu-ha and cha-young

Kairoxan August 7, 2026 8:23 pm

anybody know when they're coming back?

Kairoxan August 7, 2026 1:51 pm

I don't know if I've been a sloppy reader or if I'm just plain dumb but can someone please explain the plot to me, I don't understand anything.

Kairoxan July 14, 2026 8:58 pm

I'm commenting this because of the user "UnhingedReader", who talked about how it's refreshing to see a couple in yaoi who might be vers. They both want to top each other. The alpha already bottomed once but is clearly still set on not wanting to exclusively bottom. He still wants to top the Beta.

I'm actually so surprised there's not more verse couple in manhwas or mangas.

I'm a gay man myself who is versatile and majority of all the guys I know who are into men are vers (eight people of the ones I know are vers while only three have set positions). I've also heard from other guys that they find that vers is the most popular "position" within the gay community.

Therefore I'm really surprised that manhwas and mangas haven't picked up on this, because I feel like I've read about 300 manhwas/mangas in my lifetime and maybe about 10 of them have included vers couples.

Maybe it is because most of them are written by women who haven't experienced being a gay man first hand. I think women write manhwas/mangas with set positions since they like the idea of straight sex, but they also like men instead of women, so they enjoy their porn being exclusively men, (but they also want someone who plays "the woman" aka the bottom, in the action).

I also think a lot of women write manhwas/mangas were the ML's/MC's have set positions since it's so normalised in straight relationships for the women to be the "bottom" and for the man to be the "top". But that's not always the case, even in straight relationships, I've spoken to a lot of women who peg their boyfriend and a lot of men who enjoys to be pegged by their girlfriend.

I don't really know what I'm talking about but I'd just LOVE for bl authors to write more vers couples since I just find it much more realistic, majority of gay guys are vers, so why aren't they vers in fiction?

    Fujoshiotaku July 14, 2026 9:27 pm

You're SO RIGHT. There are barely any versatile couple in the bl universe. I think you're right about straight women's relationship perception affecting their stories and you could be on to SMTH about how we like men so we want ONLY men in our porn(?) I also think that since a lot of the manhwas on this website and most of the bls (atleast the ones I've read) are written by women from asian countries where the cultures are pretty conservative(religious/mysoginistic), the writers don't get a lot of exposure to the LGBTQ society in person(and the more open straight relationships too) AND even if they do get some, it might be hard for them actually understand the versatility concept because the gender roles are a lot more ingrained there.

    Fujoshiotaku July 14, 2026 9:29 pm

Also lmao, the culture/gender bias stereotypes traumatizing and effecting someone and ALL their relationships is literally being shown with the second couple

    SabogMagbasa July 14, 2026 9:37 pm

I also agree hereeee... I've been looking for Manhwa/Manhua/Manga that has versatile couple for a loooooong time :( I only ever read one and I freaking enjoyed it so much hahahaha so hopefully the side couple progresses to them being one coz I'd love to see Dawun going crazed as he is being fückëd by his Alpha hehehe

    SabogMagbasa July 14, 2026 9:44 pm

Also I guess most of the authors stick to the stereotype plot that once the character is an omega/beta they usually become the bottom almost immediately since the Alphas are in "Top Chain" of the omegaverse hierarchy. Hopefully the side couple can give us a new refreshing role to them. Hehehe

YOUR SO RIGHT I think in my long aah time reading BL I've rarely come across a couple that's actually vers while actually enjoying both. It's either a one off experience they don't like or a spin off side story.

I think imo a lot of authors write queer romances like they would write a straight romance where there a set roles for each partner and the bottom has to be feminine etc or if a traditionaly masculine man is bottoming it's seen as a way to humiliate or dehumanise which is just eugh. It makes the stories bland like cmon it's 2026 bro

    SEEYOUMYKINGFANATIC July 14, 2026 10:56 pm

I HONESTLY think it’s because a lot of bl (specifically omegaverse) is misogynistic. Most of the bottoms are cutsie, feminine, can’t take care of themselves, super dependent, etc—it’s lowkey misogynistic stereotypes just put onto BL. It’s whatever with one or two, but it’s become a lot of bls. I don’t really read much omegaverse or Manwhas in general, but when I do I’ve always got something to worry about. ╥﹏╥

Great question! Most of the people who write bl are straight women or just women who haven’t experienced gay relationships and don’t know how the usual gay relationship works. Therefore they assume there’s always a set bottom and top in the relationship and goes with that in their writing. However, there IS a lot of gay men (or women for that matter) who write vers couples. That is shown in a lot of novels. But since majority of readers are female as well, the story’s that get popular and adapted as manhwas or mangas are the ones who have a set bottom and top. That is why you almost never see verse in mangas or manhwas.

unfortunately most bl still feels like a repackaged heteronormative story just the female role is taken by a male

    Slytherinlarrie July 14, 2026 11:02 pm

I'm a lesbian but ye that paragraph is exactly it, most bl is written by women and has heteronormativity put into it, both in the set in stone positions in sex AND the look and personality traits attached to the sex roles (always alpha male CEO tops and uwu Babyface short twink can't do anything without the top bottoms) (probably also the company producers pushing it or idk)

I can count on one hand the number of comics I've read out of the e 700-800 that at least feel like they were written by a queer person even if theres no vers, and only a few comics with vers couples, weirdly enough the percentage of going against the "norm" is a bit higher in ABO comics like a beta top and alpha bottom or omega top, or alpha, alpha, at least in that niche it's more common to go against the (fictional) grain but in overall comics it's rare even tho that's how most irl queer people are lol

It feels like finding an Oasis whenever I find something that goes against the fictional norms cause seriously why are these things so rare. Even with straight female comic artist there's a TON of people always asking for these "rare" things from authors so it's not like the target audience of it is tiny but....

The authors can write relationships between two gay men whole being a woman, I don't think "not being able to write what they don't know" is what's stopping them from writing vers characters in the age of the internet, that's just a choice they're making,
Hell, the amount of porn they're probably watching to use as reference for the art would've done the job to tell them some/most people take turns in sex and roles aren't set in stone for most the way it is in 99.99%comics, and it's still a choice they're making to stay in the box with their writing and keep it heteronormative

Kairoxan June 2, 2026 7:31 pm

Pretty strange ending. "After two months"??? I think there was a pretty important process going on during those two months, and we didn't get to see that? What the fuck. Also, it's so strange that like 80% of the story consisted of sexual assault from jaekyung's side, but they came up with that "we're both imperfect"?!?!? I think the ending was really really rushed and it could have been about 20 plus chapters extra where they resolved all this and showed their healing process. weird, I hope it has side stories where they go through it.

Kairoxan May 28, 2026 4:32 pm

I really like this story and have been reading it since it came out. I'm however really grossed out at times while reading the fan-translation since they keep translating something wrong to make ML call MC his "son". Daddy is one thing since it's a popular pet name or title in the BDSM community, but when "son" is used it changes from just simple powerplay to some actual incest-play, highkey gross. I'm usually a fan of chibis as well but imo I think they overuse chibis a bit too much for yuan. I just think it's pretty weird that they usually use it in situations where it could be seen as a "father/son" relationship and during the sexscenes since he just looks like a child. Please remember this is just my opinion, I'm not implying this is done intentionally by the artist/author. Just something I wanted to get out:)

Kairoxan May 21, 2026 2:35 pm

I feel like this could've been a lot longer. d.i.d is such a complex disorder and they portrayed it better then i thought. but i think they should've developed the plot a bit more and i really wanted the see more about the d.i.d aspect. right now it's basically just surface plot w porn which sort of disappointed me. i'm also disappointed in tae-oh with all the sexual assault/harassment toward the mc and how it was disregarded, but then again, who am i to expect a manhwa without dub con. there's a lot that just got picked and never actually got resolved and this could probably have been 30 plus chapters.
