Every line makes me wanna cry omggg. I feel like we all sensed that Hikaru's mom knew it wasn't the original Hikaru but to see her be so kind and gentle after everything... it's the kind of acceptance every child wants and that scene definitely goes beyond just the story but real experiences that portray the kind of love parents should have for their children.
I'm kinda glad this finally ended but also disappointed with how rushed that ending was. I feel like by the final stretch it was just an on-again, off-again relationship filled with frusturating misunderstandings and plotlines that never really went anywhere. I think there was potential in a lot of storylines that just ended up being tied up off screen. And Jaekyung's redemption just felt... unearned. Regardless, I'm glad both of them are happy and they've got their friends' support. It's also impressive to see how Mingwa has improved in their artstyle over the years. I wonder if they will follow the same formula or will switch it up for the next story.
Okay I was NOT expecting that cause i just thought he would show up to intimidate dan and maybe that would cause tension before the match due to ANOTHER misunderstanding BUT NO OMG mingwa when I catch you...
I literally just graduated with my bachelor's in anthropology in May so seeing that the second story had a professor who was a cultural anthropologists was kinda cool. But why is he in a lab coat? (￣∇￣") we wore gloves when handling certain items but never lab coats. Thought that was a little funny but overall I really enjoyed the first story and wish the second one had been longer so it could've built up that relationship a bit more.
