The entire time I felt so bad for dooyoon ye that I couldn’t really focus on the main couple, I really wanted all three of them to be happy but dooyoon ye died in such a bittersweet way. It hurt so bad I wish he got his own proper happy ending
The author unfortunately treated Doyoon Ye as nothing more than a plot device right from the start. His tragic death just kept nagging at the back of my mind: “Sure, I'm glad you guys are being all lovey-dovey, but when are we actually going to address DY?”
By the time it was finally addressed, it felt way too late. Like a mere obligation rather than a core part of the story. I honestly would've preferred it if Doyoon Kim had focused on getting Doyoon Ye true justice first, letting the romance naturally unfold around that instead.
