Unfortunately, this has been happening for a LONG time. It even appears in GL and straight manhwas, not only BL. People seem to be under the impression that if you lock people up long enough they will like you back or smth...idk. It just goes with the whole yandere trope and stuff. I'm pretty sure people only do that when those people are glorifying the abuser (mainly cuz they're attractive), and romanticizing the situation. Especially since situations like the one seen in Jinx can happen in real life, and victims already get blamed and stuff. I mean, if you wanna read it, you do you.
