Being Locked Up
Is it just me or are some things are just too normalized in BL? Like for example, being locked up. Like that common trope where the bottom is about to leave the top for whatever reason and they get locked up by the Top… like I feel like this is just completely unacceptable because it’s simply psychotic behaviour. Like just imagine you want to leave a relationship and then your partner says NO and then locks you up in their basement and then later you forgive them….
Unfortunately, this has been happening for a LONG time. It even appears in GL and straight manhwas, not only BL. People seem to be under the impression that if you lock people up long enough they will like you back or smth...idk. It just goes with the whole yandere trope and stuff.
