How does bringing condoms show that the bottom genuinely wants to get to know the top as a person and not just as a professional hockey player? The image of the top on his knees is nice and all, but it just doesn’t make sense.
That was more of a reaction to Ian complaining about the hotel room thing and dying to get intimate with Eusan... the condoms were his way of saying "same bro". Even though he didn't plan anything for this specific encounter, getting and carrying around condoms bought specifically for Ian shows that he wanted it and made himself ready essentially whenever.
I appreciate that the story and the characters were written in a very realistic way, but not the ending.
Maybe they’ll be one of those toxic couples that stay together forever, who knows.
It’s really hard (and personally, I think it’s kind of bad) for someone to choose you over their career/future.
I would feel guilty and constantly anxious about it and that’s something the bottom thought about too, but the author glossed over it way too quickly with a “it doesn’t matter, I love you, I can find a job here in Korea.” It doesn’t work like that.
It wasn’t handled very well, and in the side stories the bottom its just too much.
Maybe I should let it build up for a while so I can enjoy the chapters all at once, I don’t know. I don’t really feel much love between them, even though I really like them as a couple! I loved the first chapters, but now I feel like something is missing.
My doubts started when the Top made the Bottom believe that they had had sex. I don’t really understand the decision behind that, and the slow release of the chapters doesn’t help either when it comes to keeping up with the story.
