I came here to say the exact same thing. And yeah, I understand he needs some character development and there’s room for him to do so but he’s so childlike for his age it makes it hard to read.. The constant need for reassurance and explanation is so annoying. I enjoy the story but at the same time it’s really lacklustre.. And Dohyun acts like he’s so fake that it’s like you said, hard to see any chemistry between them.
I am curious to know how people perceive 20 year olds? i feel like the way he acts is pretty normal.. it might be annoying but it is his first relationship. At 20 years old we are not automatically mature, a lot of us are still navigating through early- adulthood.

Totally get that. I don’t think becoming 18, 19 or 20 automatically makes you mature or adult like. I truly don’t believe people mentally become adults until they’re at least 25.. But that doesn’t mean that he isn’t overly childish for his age. I get this is his first love and relationship but ukes are already made extremely naive and he is like overly.. And there seems to be no comprehension when things are literally spelled out for him.

He’s literally has had one crush his whole life, so he’s an amature in a this! I mean he’s behavior is understandable for someone that also seems to be dealing with insecurities etc
I was a fool at 20 so I can relate to his behaviour in a sense but I didn’t need people to constantly spell shit out for me to understand. It’s ok to be naive when you’re young and insecurities and ignorance DO play a part in behaviour but his reactions are overly childlike, not even teen like, CHILD like and Dohyun despite educating and explaining things to him encourages it for whatever reason and Wooyeon eats ts up bc he’s so obsessively in love.
That’s typical for most 20 year olds! They’re childish! And it’s also understandable with Wooyeon because he was a sheltered kid, so yall just want him to seem to have shit figured when it’s easier said than done when you barely know much about the real world, dating and just understanding feelings and people.

What was the point of saying this when I acknowledged what they said? Everything I’m saying is personal opinion about his behaviour atp. I also said I was childish at 20. But I was not child like.. That’s the point I’m making. People infantilise 20 year olds and that’s not normal. Being childish and immature vs child like is very different.
