Is One piece REALLY worth reading an ongoing 1000+ chapters?? The plot seems kind of simple for it to be so long so i wanna know... Is it overhyped bc of nostalgia or is it actually that consistently interesting?
it's the greatest manga to ever exist. Nothing can surpass it and that includes any other top manga like berserk, vagabond, vinland saga etc. Reading it will be the best decision of your life.

Your skeptism is understandable. I was also like that when Im not starting to read it. At first I was like.. The Art is so mehhh.. not worth my time and to think it was only 500+ chapter around that time. But because of boredom and desperation to find something new I started.
But ohhh boy!!!! Once you start you'll get hooked!!! I never stoped and always tuning in for an update. It was my top 1 back way back in 2014 and its still my Top 1 until today.... There's a reason why its so popular and why its so long.
To cut monologue short... ONE PIECE IS AWESOMEヾ(☆▽☆) My wish is that it will have an ending before I die..
Words cannot express how good One piece is, I hope for you that you are able to enjoy it, it's such a great experience to be able to lose yourself in the story for the first time. You should be the one to decides if 1000+ chapters is worth your time, a big majority of people seem to think so and I think that speaks to it's consistency.
You can't force yourself to enjoy it so if you realize that you're not that invested a few chapters in, you've got the liberty of dropping it any time, with that being said, I'd say One piece is one of those mangas that get progressively better as the story goes on.
Proceed with caution though....One piece can be engaging.....in a crippling sense, to the point where you're likely to neglect everyday responsibilities. (❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

Most things I regularly read are via public library system (where I live you only pay 1 or 2 bucks when get first library card & only ever pay after that if you have late fees, need replacement card , or use the printer/copier/faxer) so I rarely buy books. The few manga I’ve bought for myself are mainly stand alone volumes, like Cats of the Louvre. But I typically buy them before I’ve read them, like, I sorta flip through them & read the back and occasionally one will speak to me.

When you finish a manga, theres like this after page. Then there will be lists that the manga has been added in. The more upvotes it get means people like what type of mangas that are in the list. Also, I think more people will see the list.
