It kinda got dark in the middle, from there I was on the edge of my seat waiting for him to fall back to his “obsessive top” role at some point again and go crazy like how the system wanted him to be but he really tried his very hardest to make the ml safe and happy after that even if means not ‘loving’ him and getting loved back, tho actually he was already in love anyway…. Hope there gets to be more specials! One where they do get a more optimistic happier ending ;;;;;

I can’t tell you guys how many times I contemplated dropping this but thankfully I pushed through because I think one of the most interesting part of this story is the mystery of mc’s lore

My theory is mc was a hunter/special combat agent and was a very good one but somehow got “reset”. The ml mentioned how empty his eyes are (plus his eyes being so unique and the manhwa specifically highlights them sometimes) and said either he’s just dumb or got “reset”. It looks like mc doesn’t know his past but it also looks like he’s not completely clueless. It’s very intriguing when he ‘switches’ into ‘agent/combat’ mode like when he knocked out glasses guy and clearly did something to the heartless people in that lab but the next scene he’s saying he just hid together with the passed out glasses guy while the heartless people were fighting among themselves…… I don’t think he was trying to fool the guards and ml and I think he truly believes the heartless fought among themselves. He probably blacked out? The same way he saved the little girl from the baseball hitting her then blacked out and ending up in another neighborhood….. There are also some instances he just gets up and walks away when the other characters are talking about something confidential as if his consciousness is telling him to not get involved and “not know” anything. His body seems to react to certain words, and the whole part of the ant’s nest seems like a big thing to his lore (the manhwa not showing the part where he apparently “asked” someone for directions where the bathroom is, yeah right he did not get lost on his own for sure). He also seems to not care about all the heartless stuff like he’s wired to not be curious or care. He says he’s scared of heartless people which I don’t think he’s lying about like he BELIEVES he is but his body isn’t at all. In conclusion, I think his true abilities and memories are ‘locked’ away, he’s not completely clueless about it but also don’t want to know. The govt higher ups keep tabs on him, careful not to ‘wake’ him up? Also he’s the connection in the drugs circulating in the us and sk pretty sure…

Anyway that’s why I’m intrigued by this story right now. I’m also impressed with the way they hide so many clues and make you not look into it because the comedy is so ridiculous the romance had a bit of a buildup but not enough, tho that scene where ml got mc lobster after basically rampaging on heartless for days was cute. Hope the romance gets cuter later on but honestly I’m more curious about mc’s lore above everything else
