Tbh, I did enjoy this chapter (and the last couple chapters). Extremely co-dependent, but you know I have to keep reading. Hope that red-head gets what’s coming to him.

I can feel the foreshadowing, and it’s making me so sad for them. Please let them escape the father’s gang and find happiness.

I bet the hound with the hat told Guwon about the redhead hound disobeying orders and hurting Teach again. He seems like a shit starter.

L8atNight June 12, 2026 9:14 pm

Imagine having your eye gouged out and still not learning your lesson. Now you shoot another hound in a fit of anger and further threaten Guwon’s favorite? Clearly, we can’t all be scholars. The fact that the hound with the hat(forgot his name) brought the red-haired hound around Teach immediately after the eye-gouging seems like he was hoping to instigate a violent altercation. And now Teach is starting to romanticize death because of his stressful situation. What an interesting chapter, I’m looking forward to more (=・ω・=)

So we’re reaching the roots of their sadness. It is always difficult during these parts, I’ll be glad when we’re on the other side of it.

Happiness looks so good on them. Wish it could last for longer(▰˘‘ ^ ‘˘▰)

I love the straddle-leg lap sitting, it’s so sexy, and I love how they get so close when they flirt, so intimate and hot ⁄(⁄ ⁄^⁄ω⁄^⁄ ⁄)⁄

Great ending, glad they can find some happiness and peace. Love a satisfying conclusion♡

Putting a listening device in your man’s backpack is crazy work lol But, I still love himꨄ

I thought it was a pen drive haha Nani

Since the last panel seems to show Minyoung listening in on Cheol’s conversation, I assumed it was actually a listening device.

Jinwoo has had head trauma, perhaps multiple head traumas (note the head bandages in early chapters), so he will probably not process his surroundings/situation/sense of danger the same as others in the group. He is also suffering from repressed memories regarding his father’s death. His guilt over having an intimate relationship with Guwon (who he believes killed his father) is manifesting as self harm(and possibly escalating to violent) sleepwalking. At this moment he feels a rebellion is the only solution because he knows the current power structure is dangerous for the people of the town and himself, but he also doesn’t know of an alternative course of action to make the situation safer for the people (and children) of the town. No one has come in contact with any zombies who are full-thinking/fully functioning so it wouldn’t be anyone’s initial reaction to assume Guwon isn’t human. As far as anyone can tell initially, he seems like an extremely strong dude with an unusual way of thinking, and extensive tattoos. We as the readers know he probably isn’t fully human because we have seen moments not shown to the rest of the characters. As far as the hounds, they all already know Jinwoo is “coupled” with Guwon, or however you’d like to word it. The red-haired hound has definitely told everyone his thoughts on it I’m sure, and Guwon shows favoritism to Jinwoo (going against his initial decisions when Jinwoo doesn’t agree/pushes back, giving Teach his nickname, being publicly affectionate with Teach, allowing Teach on the supply run even though he doesn’t have the skill set to be of much help as far as we know). There isn’t much point in Teach avoiding Guwon when everyone has already seen that there’s a special relationship between them. I’m very interested to see how the supply run will go, especially since Teach will be alone with the hounds for much of it, since Guwon is heading off on his own.

I totally agree. Your breakdown of Jinwoo’s physical and psychological trauma—like his guilt over his dad's death manifesting as sleepwalking—is spot on and explains so much of his erratic behavior to the others. But honestly, it’s still a huge mystery to me because he was already dealing with this from his very first day in the village, way before he convinced himself that Guwon killed his dad. Is it really just the head trauma? Or could it be that he’s actually undead in some way? Maybe that’s his link to Guwon? I’m so hyped for what’s next and can’t wait to see how all the puzzle pieces come together!!

It’s true, as readers, we get the bigger picture while the characters are stuck looking at things from their own limited perspectives. It reminds me of a theory someone brought up before about the tattoos—if they're a sign of being undead, maybe regular people can't even see them. It makes me wonder, how do the others actually perceive Guwon?

And honestly, literally everyone has noticed Guwon’s favoritism toward Teach over anyone else in town. The girl and the doctor definitely picked up on it, even if they don't fully realize their relationship is romantic/intimate. Everyone just assumed the Hounds were untouchable (like somehow off-limit), and even Jinwoo himself thought that. But the real shocker is that Guwon’s soft spot for Teach completely overrode the Hounds, who are the most important assets in the village. We’re already starting to see how Jinwoo is using this leverage to his advantage (and for the town's sake?).

As for that “DON’T WORRY ABOUT A THING” line, I didn't get the vibe that he meant he’d kill anyone who goes near him—even the Hounds—or that he’d magically know when Jinwoo is in danger. I took it more like: “Don't worry, you have powers to protect yourself, you just haven't figured them out yet.” What do you think?

Thanks♡ And, those are interesting ideas! I would actually love it if Jinwoo had some untapped powers of his own that he could unlock/realize he has, they would be such a power couple. If Teach was also undead that would be very interesting, as he would be the most advanced thinking “undead” we’ve been introduced to, that would be a cool twist.
As far as Guwon saying “Don’t worry about a thing” I assumed it meant he already gave the message to the hounds that Teach is not to be bothered and that Guwon would be popping in and out of where Teach is going to be during the supply run to check on things, like how he followed behind unannounced when Teach and the doctor went out to Teach’s old residence. It could also be that Guwon isn’t too worried about Teach on the supply run because he left him in that hound-with-the-hat’s group(I forget his name atm). I’m interested to see if that character is even more sinister than the red-haired hound but just doesn’t show it yet.

Right?! If Jinwoo and Guwon are both somehow like, partially undead, that would be freaking dope because we’d get two totally opposite versions of it!
I mean, Teach is actually super smart, remembers everything he learned, and hasn't lost his humanity or his moral compass at all—plus he’s just so fair and logical.
But then on the flip side, you have Guwon, who completely lost his memory, not just bits and pieces like Teach... He's totally uneducated and completely lacks any sense of fairness or basic humanity.
That contrast would make them such a wild duo to watch!

Yes! Exactly, I felt that too. He'll definitely just pop up out of nowhere wherever Teach is. And honestly, if those Hounds have any brains at all, they better make sure Jinwoo doesn't get a single scratch on this trip. Guwon would absolutely lose his mind and wreck them all—I mean, he already bashed that red-haired idiot’s head in!

As for Park Sangjun, I totally get what you mean. He gives off major snake vibes, just lowkey working in the shadows, spreading his venom so quietly that you won't even realize you're done for until the poison actually starts kicking in... He's just super sus right now.

Yes, he’s definitely giving devious vibes. I’m excited for the next chapter, I hope there’s some interesting personality trait reveals as far as the hounds, and more plot development ❁(⌒ω⌒)❁
