A few months of “calm” and now everyone thinks they can just say whatever they want? Did they forget how the king’s temper used to be, and it wasn’t even that long ago? Learning the hard way, it seems, smh.

Poor Geon, his mom really just went no-contact with him when he was her young son so she could start over with a new family. Never coming to see Geon or call him to find out how he’s been, and she didn’t even live far away. How selfish and cold of her. Geon’s hair looks good, and I prefer it this way, but I hope he can feel better after having seen her act so unfazed by their “reunion”.

I wonder if the epiphany that Jinwoo had about making a drastic change in his choices once the world reset is what allowed him to keep his memories of the past events or if something else triggered it. We know Guwon probably won’t let Jinwoo sacrifice himself, since in every run through Guwon finds him interesting enough that they end up together. I’m very interested to see just how different the new run through of events will be with Jinwoo retaining his memories. It seems like he will choose to reject any romantic attachment to Guwon this time (at least at first) since Jinwoo blames himself for the tragedy last time. And, iirc, the townspeople were already unhappy and planning a rebellion without Jinwoo suggesting it, so I don’t think everything was Jinwoo’s fault. Also now it’s clearly confirmed for everyone that yes, Guwon did in fact kill Jinwoo’s father.
I wish we knew how much/when Guwon starts to regain his memories during each reset (since he seemed to have them when he was dying during the last run through). Certain places/visual definitely illicit certain reactions/memories in both Guwon and Jinwoo; like the moon, the mountain/cliff edge, Guwon giving Jinwoo the ring, etc. The dreams Jinwoo had all season were actually memories of past run-throughs, seems his subconscious was trying to warn himself. It would be nice for there to be some real positive development and lives being spared (like the doctor and that child’s father) this time around. Would also really like to see more of Guwon’s perspective and backstory. Excited for next season♡

We can see from the brother’s inner thoughts and past behavior that he (at least at present) thinks of Ideum as a plaything that he can use to satisfy desires and irritate Jaeyi at the same time. Any seemingly kind gesture is rooted in that selfish agenda. Jaeyi’s brother clearly enjoys feeling superior to others and enjoys receiving attention, and since jiseong either retired from pro swimming or is taking a break (I can’t remember which), initiating some form of relationship with Ideum would fuel both his superiority complex towards his brother and his need for attention. Also, please note that jiseong continues to try to connect with Ideum about their medical history, as he is hoping his attention to Ideum’s scar insecurity will win Ideum over.
Ideum is very susceptible to influence by a seemingly kind gesture, since Ideum has some deep rooted insecurities and struggles to make connections with people. I hope he is not swayed by jiseong, since jiseong has ill intentions at present.
Jaeyi’s reaction is normal, even though at present he and Ideum are considered friends with benefits. Jaeyi knows from experience that his brother’s intentions are bad and it could hurt Ideum. Also, Jaeyi very clearly has feelings for Ideum beyond simply “a person I sleep with”, even if they are only fwb: friends is the key word. You don’t want a friend to be used. And as far as people saying that it shouldn’t be a problem for jiseong and Ideum to have sex; it’s weird as hell to try to have sex with a person you know your sibling is sleeping with. For someone to even consider that, it shows a deep disregard for family at the very least, and it should raise a warning flag to everyone involved.
I’m excited for the new season, and I hope we continue to get these well fleshed-out characters and entertaining writing♡ Bravo!

Re-reading chapters 60-65 to refuel my hatred for past misdeeds against Garam. I know Garam will probably forgive youngjo, it’s in Garam’s nature to forgive. But, I will always love when Garam allowed himself to be angry and let others know they had hurt him. He deserves to voice his truths. It also takes strength to forgive, and if that helps Garam heal, then I support that as well.
