Guys I know the manhwa is amazing but I swear the novel is 500% better, it gives better descriptions and clues into other characters emotional states, the pacing of the gags are funnier, some of the dialogue is translated differently with more shades of meaning, just READ THE NOVEL YOU'LL LOVE IT
I like the 2nd ML way more but it seems like most of the comments are on 1st ML's side. That surprises me. If I had to describe what does it for me, I feel like 1st ML likes her because she's "innocent" and doesn't have any ulterior motives towards him, whereas 2nd ML feels worry and concern for her because of that instead, and wants to protect her and teach her to be more aware so she can protect herself. So I feel like 1st ML wants her to stay the same and 2nd ML wants to help her grow.
I really like the og heroine, and our mc who is sympathetic to her. Too often in this genre you see women hating women, so its really nice to see female characters reconcile and connect with each other, even when they do wrong things. It's so rare for female antagonists to get character development. I feel like the author of this story is a conscientious person with a lot of deep thoughts, and it was enjoyable and soothing reading this, because you can tell she wrote every character with love. The fact it continues with a sequel and 2nd mc was unexpected, but I honestly loved it.

This story pisses me off from even the first few chapters, because where in the world does 'don't touch me' mean climb onto his bed and stare at him in his sleep. MC completely ignores ML's boundaries, which would be one thing, but she also frames his reasonable grossed out rejection as 'you hate me that much?' like its personal and not her fault, even after the point she deduces that he must have some trauma from contact. I could go on but I'm not gonna suffer through more chapters this time, I just know that this trend of MC condescending to and trampling on his boundaries and grooming the ML through emotional manipulation continues. I just really dislike MC, ugh.
Dropping this because the minor antagonists are too stupid and just one-note psychos. I know it's the trope but it's boring to read
The main story is a serious political struggle, but some of the plot points are so silly that I am cringing so badly. The halloween party, the popularity poll, the crown prince and his knights working as attendants at a clothing store (...why?), I just feel like the setting is all over the place. It's awkward, because at the same time the class divide is really apparent; like how cesar fired the knight for accidentally badmouthing MC even though he had good intentions, or how MC had to scheme and discipline the maids at the beginning of the story. Or even how cesar executed someone who was his childhood friend for spying on the enemy during his military arc. I dunno something about it puts a bad taste in my mouth. Either be serious or be comedic, the weird back and forth makes the main characters seem vapid and fickle, even when i know they act intelligently during other plot points.
I enjoyed the story overall, and I think ML was cute, I'm just venting here because in such a great story the bad parts kind of stand out.
Got up to ch27, am dropping it because the comments tell me its gonna get more frustrating from here. I just came here say that its funny how literally every male side character seems like a better ML candidate than Riftan... Ruth, the knights, they're all way more gentle and respectful and don't swear at people despite coming from similar backgrounds... Honestly at this point I was hoping for our MC and Ruth to have an affair because they have infinitely more chemistry, he understands her better and gives her help and she feels comfortable enough to lose her temper with him, and the way they play off each other gives mutual character growth. Meanwhile our MC and Riftan miscommunicate every damn sentence. I don't particularly hate the idea of Riftan as a ML for someone else, I just think him and MC are a bad matchup. If he had someone who could yell and swear at him back they'd get along like a house on fire. As it is this couple seems designed to be a frustration fountain, so I don't want to read more.
Wait so are they in a closed relationship now? I feel like seme was trying to imply something like that when he told uke to be jealous and that he wants to be claimed by one person and such. Which if so then uh... I don't really like this ending so much. I thought we'd finally get some nice poly relationship rep but apparently seme was just immature about his feelings and not actually committed to his previous relationships, which is a bummer. I want some actual healthy poly with mature adults! Seme really did have the emotional maturity of an elementary schooler
The art style is so sweet and wholesome but I just know that in a different art style kiyoshi would be drawn as the super sharp popular handsome businessman type and it's cracking me up how he must come off to other characters' pov. Like I totally get why the brother doesn't like him
The mandragora using the child as a shield... MC noticing that, was a really nice touch. They mandragora only act cute because she ordered them to behave in a way that would endear them to others, but their true nature is still a selfish monster. I also like how unsettling our MC is, and the moments where her monster instincts come out. She's so unsettling. It adds tension and makes you wonder if its even truly possible for her and her familiars to coexist with humans long term. You just get the sense that they're one mistake away from tragedy.
I need to see glass guy get railed but the tentacles dude is super annoying, ugh. Someone bring in the black mask guy and swap them out, they were cute together.

Ehhhhh I didn't really like this one as much. The only thing that made me finish it was seeing glimpses of Dohyun every so often lol. I don't really like the ML, he seems moody and impolite. Also his design wasn't that appealing to me. MC was okay, but I don't really like how he was pegged as the 'innocent' oblivious type... It's an archetype I've seen in other korean manhwas and they always draw their facial expressions so blank. I wish he had more facial expressions.
I like how the artist isn't afraid to draw boobs. It's so refreshing compared to other rofan where either the 'good' women are stick thin and boobs only belong on the voluptuous sexy vixen villainess archetype. This artist just gives women realistic figures without it implying anything about their character.
I like the main couple a lot, and I enjoy their cat and mouse romance shenanigans. The last couple of chapters are starting to introduce the side characters though, and I dunno I'm not really feeling it. I'd prefer it if the novel just stayed romance focused and the plot stayed with the main couple, I'm not really enjoying the author talking about the protagonist's family or the og!heroine.
