i read it some good 4-5 years ago so idr ALOT of it, just some scenes. there was a little boy and girl that used to hang out. and of the kid's mom told them to eat finish eating their carrot before playing? and maybe the boy's older brother was in a war. he couldn't muster the courage to finish off an enemy but at the same time another soldier killed him from behind. in the end, the boy and the girl get married and the guy dies first. theres a hospital scene and in the end, they show that the girl is happy cuz of all their memories. and it could be that im mixing up different mangas (￣∇￣")
