Seme used to have this neighbor/tutor¿ in his childhood that used to hang out with him. His mother is out of the picture, only his father is with him. But father is a workaholic who goes home barely once in a whole. I think his job is in a different place. So young ml is basically living by himself. Which this neighbor used to take advantage of him. Father found out late, during one of their baths (japanese ppl sometimes bath with their family, normal in their culture) found marks and hickies on mls body. Confronted and beat up¿ the neighbor and told him to get lost.
Ml basically thought neighbor abandoned him, so he has lingering feelings from a major figure in his past. Ml now in highschool met mc, all throughout the chapters ml kept alluding to the abuse in his childhood never going for the third base with the mc.
Neighbor suddenly came back, fresh out of college he mentioned he slept around a lot but still likes ml. Yada yada in the final chapters. Ml went to neighbors house, mc thought ml is leaving him; ml confronted the neighbor for abandoning him, and found out father prevented them from seeing each other. Mc followed ml to neighbors house to prevent his fears. Saw ml there declaring his love for mc and to leave them alone now. Putting an end to years old entanglement.

Not really? There was a brief flashback in one the earliest chapters that seemed to allude to the bottom either being a band himself or his past experience with a mother band guy that didn’t end well I couldn’t rly tell.
