What I find beautiful about this story is how well Minato's trauma is shown and explored. None of his actions are depicted as "right" or "wrong" bust just as they are, trauma responses. It's not easy to be with someone who deals with a traumatic past or has PTSD and all around this series we can see how Shizuma helps Minato deal with this and how both of them make compromises with each other. I think most people can't empathise more with Minato because it's difficult to understand trauma if you haven't experienced it closely, whether by yourself or seeing someone close with it. If I dare speculate, I think Minato shows BPD-adjacent symptoms, especially taking into account what happened with his mom. Anyways, this is my short rant (▰˘◡˘▰)

Yeah. And he also previously said that Shizuma turned him into a clingy person. I think he always had the desire to be that way just that he was afraid of getting attached to someone, but he somehow was able to express those hidden/repressed desires because he was with a very loving and understanding person who alarming would always think that Minato's "traumatic responses" are his fault. And this would be mentally and emotionally draining to a normal person. Although in turn Minato will do a 180 and realize his mistakes while "blaming" Shizuma in the process. XD
And just when you think its all going well, Minato relapses and the cycle just keeps repeating itself.
What do you even do when you have someone who doesn't like to feel smothered but is also clingy? Loves too much, but communicates less?

Tbh it was a good read but idk why I was expecting a bit more... The chasing arc was too short but it's alright. My biggest complaint is the secondary couple... Why introduce them if their story was gonna feel rushed and inconclusive?

Personally it didn't feel inconclusive to me in the side story they decide to date and he says his reason for doing it was not wanting to lose him that he didn't want to imagine him not in his life. Those words speak volumes I was left feeling it'd probably work out. Because that's love. He's just a bit tsundere and doesn't like to say how he feels he was just running scared the entire time but he did love him to he just hadn't realized it yet.

I mean it's as inconclusive as the main you found out the real love but who's to say even the main couple won't have an argument that could threaten the entire thing 2 more yrs down the road? Honestly tomorrow is never guaranteed love just means you have a reason to work things out and personally his reason for not letting him go is the biggest reason why love works out in the end. The chances of a forever are pretty high for those two in my opinion.
