The concept confuses and kind of annoys me. I only read chapter 0 and only a part of it but it annoyed me.
First how did humans predict the monsters coming? what the heck was there some prophet that predicted the monsters coming? Or did they find a random one already dead and predict it was coming? Did they get a glimpse of another dimension or something?Did an unknown voice provide secret knowledge and say prepare for monsters are coming?
2nd- why are they called awakeners when their just given cards by the humans that researched things? They didn't awaken anything from what I could tell.
3rd- how did humans create something to fight a monster they've never met? And give it to rando's (random people) if it was the government that funded or did this secret research. why give it to powerless citizens? Wouldn't giving it to trained soldiers have given their research a leg up if something went wrong.
4th-Were human not a system or a god what advantage do we get giving it to random people. Wouldn't they have at least created a team governed by their research team so they'd have control and get benefits? Is this force just super humane?
But anyways maybe that's all explained later but that premise annoyed me enough to be like are you kidding and so I didn't want to read.
Quick synopsis of what I read:
monsters suddenly appeared and weapons couldn't beat them, then buildings transformed or something happened from purple light and all these places which happened to be skyscraper like buildings they decided to call dungeons because they were swarming with monsters. And then humanity which had been doing secret research in preparation for the coming of these creatures created key cards which summon creatures to fight for them which does come off a lot like yugioh but not like a card game like the holographic projections that are real. And then they give these cards to people and call them awakeners....or some rando for whatever reason is supposedly awakened and they give him a card? I don't know, it got absurd for me and I quit but if it's your thing enjoy reading.
Just thought you guys deserved a bit more info since there wasn't many comments.
Well that was a fast ending. I don't even feel like he had the emotional evolution to be a guiding God. He was getting really arrogant and seemed to be losing his original questionable intent well In my opinion he was.
There was so much potential for future stories not only about the new world but about the dragon God who Lucia really was, why she was half, how her world really felt about her. Maybe a story about the failed magic mage. Maybe info about the gods of the new world. I don't know I felt like were building up to something really cool but suddenly they threw in a new God and then instantly defeated said God by having him give up and then suddenly our guy with no training instantly knows how to be a god a thinks he will bring it all to peace? Will he though? Maybe.
Well I didn't dislike the story I really liked it but the ending was resolved instantly and I didn't like that.
