Has anyone here read or watched the "I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss" series? I started reading it because the description looked like it was basically supposed to be it, but with smut and it kind of is. However, it is so heavy on the lovey dovey during the smutty parts that it distracts from it and they really have no conclusion; they sort of fade to black. There is a vague situation were the characters are supposed to be drawn to the original story rather than the deviation created by the changes the main character forced on the story, but the aforementioned heavy romance is too much for me to continue past chapter 6. I like fantasy and isekai and I mentioned I began reading this because I liked the similar story line, but if YOU like romance, this is for you.
It has hot dialogue and what is mostly good art. However, there were some scenes that I was not sure what I was looking at. It also low key gave Inu Yasha vibes with the whole Saya/Saki situation except even as door mat-ey as Kagome ever got I don't think she ever would have rolled over after being hard core SA, being told it was because Inu Yasha confused her with someone else, then proceeded to have slept with him because 'it wasn't that he had done it it was that he had confused her with someone else', AND then be told the person he confused her with was her ancestor whose name was Kikyo. And the whole thing with the school friend who locked her in a room and called HER crazy, but said he loved her? Yeah, like my review's title says, "Hot, but..."
