So I came across a post where Zig herself clarified the incest thing that some ppl have been accusing Grayson for. Well it's actually not that difficult to interpret the situation when you have understood Grayson's character but Zig didnt knw that we have readers with low IQ. So was unaware that such misunderstanding has been going around and personally explained the situation. I am copying the exact comment she made here:

-Hello. Since it’s a story I couldn’t even imagine, I took a moment to wonder where such a misunderstanding could have come from. To get straight to the point, there was no incest on Miller Street, and there won’t be any in the future either. To Grayson, Chase is just a “clueless little brother,” a “being that needs looking after.”

-When Chase asked if he would mate with him when Rut came, since there was no one else to release pheromones to but Bliss, and Grayson said, "If there's no other way, then that's what has to be done," that might have LED to such a MISUNDERSTANDING. However, in this context, Grayson’s intention is that he must remove the pheromones in advance to prevent such a situation from happening.

-Excluding Chase, all the other siblings were -- strictly managing their pheromones, so in fact, there was virtually no risk of that happening. If the kids hadn't done it properly, Ashley wouldn't have just sat idly by, right? I hope the misunderstanding gets cleared up.

I have been telling people just by reading the novels that it was Chase whose pheromones were harmful for Bliss and not others and that is wht Grayson was concerned abt.

    Hanna July 14, 2026 11:33 am

For Grayson consent is very very very important, he would never do such a thing to anyone.

hm idk if it was lost in translation, but i didn't get the emphasis on "that's what we're trying to avoid". it felt more like "yeah thats an acceptable way to handle that situation". even this "clarification" just specifies that this would be a worst case scenario, but still an acceptable solution, which is enough to gross me out, personally. chase's reaction in that scene matched my own disgust, and most of the comments also read that conversation as incestuous. are we all low IQ? i think it's more likely that either that scene was translated with tiny inaccuracies or just written kinda poorly, if this is what the author wanted us to take away instead.

    OnlyButts July 15, 2026 3:59 am

the manhwa is supposed to be a standalone work. if you need to read the novels to understand the scene in this way, i think that's a failure of the adaptation process.

First of all, Grayson have communication issues and choices of words due to his condition. That's why I said, if you will understand his character truly and the situations, u will automatically know what he exactly meant there. This clarification was never needed for someone who know abt all the 6 stories. They already figured it out by knowing Grayson from his story and the omega brother story (which is ongoing). Zig had to clarify it as a certain fandom was accusing his character.

He never meant that this is an acceptable solution, this is something he has been grown up listening to and there is a lot more to it.

And for this universe, one novel will never be enough to understand everything and every character. There has been always some new revelation in every other stories. The whole saga is built-up im such a way that the reader's understanding and pov will keep changing with each story. zig is a novelist and she has designed it in that way that knowledge of all 6 novels is imp. She is not responsible for the Manhwas.

More or less, both kmyic novel and manhwa has showed this scene in that way, maybe author wanted this misunderstanding. Grayson has mostly shown as an evil character in the two previous works but there is in my view a reason for that. And KMYIC does have false informations, half informations, unexplained things, and a very narrow narrative as this story is just from Chase and Josh pov who have little to no knowledge of the family history, how dangerous dom alpha pheromones are and the rest of many things. Kmyic didn't even clarify a lot abt Chase own health conditions which will get more clear from other novels. So yeah, KMYIC is actually considered to be the most poorly written story among the rest if you see it in a whole pack as the others will give you more clear picture of the things that has happened.

So my advice for manhwa readers will always be that if you aren't ready to dive into the novels it's better to treat every story as an individual story without connecting it with the previous story.

Holy shitt, I digged it up along with my moots n what I found is that a group of ppl, who thinks that their fav char is the only 2 saint characters of this series and the rest are trash, started spreading false information regarding Grayson that he is a disgusting char who wants to sleep with his brothers and his main motive is to sleep with Chase (RIP IQ). So some novel readers requested Zig to clarify this as it is now getting way ugly. That's when Zig came up with this clarification. Tbh this clarification was actually not needed if someone read this story with brain, not to hate on Grayson but to understand him

The main problem is that especially manhwa readers have problems understanding the setting, how this universe works. It is in parts a problem of the adaption ( they left out a lot), but also problem of the readers. This is omgaverse, instinct overrides reasons etc. That at least is something everyone should know, if they read omegaverse.
If Grayson says stuff as he did, there is a logic behind it. The doctor also talks about that regualry. There is the possibilty that disgusting stuff like that can happen, and to avoid that you release your pheromones regulary.
Grayson is the one who releases his pheromones regulary, Chase is the one who doesn't. Grayson is the one who wants to make Chase release pheromones. Even without context from the novel or other stories that should be logical. Chase has memory lapses, uses medicines etc. So the not releasing pheromones affects him in a negative way. He doesn't even know if he raped the person he slept with years ago (Josh).
One of the biggest problems of the adaption is, that many seem to think that Chase's childhood, his parents and Grayson are soley responsible for his bad character traits etc. while actually the manifestation as a dominant alpha also plays a big role. And they don't really understand how serious Chase not releasing pheromones really is. Grayson told Josh that they make Chase go to the parties, where he passes out and they take out his pheromones by injection. Now think, Chase is an adult, why can't he organize something with the doctor himself?

I don't think that it has anything to do with IQ, more with readers lacking informations, getting too invested, jumping to conclusion and don't like if anyone tries to disturb their perfect picture of the story. They see it as black and white, but especially omegaverse like this is mainly a gray area. It's no problem is you keep it to yourself, but if you start to spread false informations, try to make people hate a character so they won't buy the story, that is problematic. That work, those characters, still belongs to the original author.

If we consider bad translations and reading comprehension ( novel), one thing I really did find interesting: About 90% or more of the spoilers concerning the dog thing in the KMIYC comment section ( and there were a lot of them), were either completely wrong or it wasn't understood correctly. So they were either repeating wrong spoilers, read a bad translation.....or the reading comprehension failed them.

KMIYC isn't a standalone, it never was written as one. The manhwa as of now never was either, since there is Kiss me liar, different series, but same universe and overlapping events. Josh appears there, Grayson etc.

Yeah exactly, calling people "low IQ" because author had too low of an IQ to show it in a way where there wouldn't be a misunderstanding? Even that explanation sounds like "guys he said he would do that only if he really had to" like wtf? It's author that creates the story, in many omegaverses family doesn't feel each other's pheromones because author doesn't won't any incest in it. So that scene has an incest undertones, that could be 100% avoided, but the author choosed to keep it in

"Even that explanation sounds like "guys he said he would do that only if he really had to" like wtf?"

That's not how you interpret it. With all the infos available, this is my take: It meant that Grayson, even before he was asked by Chase, already has the intention of helping him release his pheromones NO MATTER WHAT. So, yes author also mentioned that, so there is no chance of it happening even in the WORST case scenario. The danger of this accumulating pheromones on chase's body was always told by their doctor to him. Now, his answer that has incest understones was just to have an answer which he based from what he was taught by the doctor and his father. It's a terrible thought process, right? This is how his mental disorder comes in. His word choice and thinking process differs from normal people. The author also wants to hint this, because Grayson is their first and a central character of this series that you cannot avoid. You have no choice but to dig deep into his character if you wanna have complete understanding of the series. How these particular scenes in kiss me if you can were used as important plot devices for the effective delivery of the other If You Can stories, most specifically Desire me if you can, and vice versa.

Read the reply by Toru and Hanna above you. I think that's what author wants to show in this series if readers really think about it deeply. Look into the world built by the author, the type of characters created, and you can deduce how it wasn't meant to take incest straightforwardly.

Plus, the series really require readers to connect information from one story to another. Because obviously, it's called a series. Especially if one looks lacking in its info, which I think was intentionally done.

It's my personal opinion that author wanted to create this misunderstanding. From what I came to realise that, since this whole series revolves around Grayson condition and his toxic traits that he got frm the grandfather, she wanted to show him as complete evil in other stories so that ppl will think he is deff gonna follow his grandfather path, but when u will get to knw him frm his own story and mayb the omega brother story u actually realise that he is not like that.

No, you're making it too easy.
The author is not responsible for the manhwa adaption.
And "Kiss me if you can" in one of her more harmless works, in some the shit really goes down in some aspect.

If we only go by the manhwa adaption, which is lacking in this parts.

The manhwa is omegaverse, even if this omegaverse has specific rules, there are things that are the same. The core of omegaverse is that characters can be driven by instinct, losing controle when in rut and heat. That should be common knowledge or you should stay away from those stories.

So the things that Grayson says can happen. The doctor also says that. That is common knowledge in the story. It doesn't mean that it will happen. And you can prevent that by taking care of your pheromones release, being aware and avoiding it.
You have to think of the context Grayson is saying that, Chase is someone who is not releasing pheromones on his own. He explains it when he talks to Josh in the hospital. Latest at that point readers should have caught up that Grayson was trying to scare Chase earlier.
You also need to consider that in this universe it's not just some temporary condition, not releasing pheromones can cause braindamage, them really go insane.

It has nothing to do with low IQ, but with readers ignoring or forgetting some aspects of the story.

In KLM it was Yeonwoo's pov and he was weary of Grayson. He remembered a past event where one saw Grayson's crazyness, where one of his exes threatened to commit suicide and he endged them on. But we also saw him warn Yeonwoo of the party at the beginning, he also warned Keith, they ignored it. A few chapters later in the novel is was mentioned in one short sentence that it was Grayson who got the alphas off Yeonwoo in the end. That is an example, she showed several aspects of Grayson.
In the extras we find out that Grayson knew before Keith and Yeonwoo, that they were in love. Through Grayson even Keith 's halfbrother knew before Keith.lol
Him and Keith are really close friends, he would have never touched or seriously hit on Yeonwoo.

Kiss me if you can is more problematic, because you have to consider a lot of things. First this is Josh and Chase's pov.
Chase and his condition, means really understand that Chase is not releasing phromones on his own, what that means, and also the why ( which has nothing to do with Grayson). Then the author brings in the early and late manifestation and what it means.
The dog thing was not the smartes move, but you understand the why, but still should be aware that Chase got a serious dog trauma because of that.
But you should have understood by the time Grayson talked to Josh that he really wanted to help Chase...in his own way.
And what happened when they were children, are better understood if you read LMUIYC, the "helping", Stacy's involvement etc. And they were all children when it happened, and since the twins where born manifested an injury probably already was nothing for them, so that might have been one of the reason why the so often hurt Chase ( speculation by me) who wasnät manifested. And in the extras you see that Grayson does care for Chase, since he does help him.

In LMUIYC it mainly Grayson and his twin being a born manifested and the parenting being a problem. What happened to Koi was unintentional, they didn't undertand it.

In KMG it was the even that mentioned at the beginning of KML I think, at least it sounded familiar.

Grayson iirc didn't inherit something specific from Domnic, except his looks. The obsessions with their partners all the Miller haves. Nathaniel is characterwise closer to Dominic, but in the end also wasn't like him. And the one who turned a beta....was none of those two.^^ And Dominic himself also had a shitty father, and Juliet wasn't a good characters either, but didn't deserve what he had to go through.

I think the biggest problem in this situation is that the context (about him being seen like his evil grandfather, while being different) you're talking about got lost in the adaptations that are made by different artist depending on who is the mc and have many scenes had been compressed in comparison to the original. I think since author is Korean there might be some language barriers that also added the fuel to what it became in the end.

People keep saying Koi was only separated from the children after the poisoning incident.
But that's not what the novel shows.
Long before Grayson poisoned Koi, Ashley had already started separating Koi from the children because they interrupted the time he wanted to spend alone with him.
When Chase kept wandering through the mansion, knocking on doors and looking for Koi, Ashley wasn't worried about his child.
He was annoyed that Chase is disturbing his quality time koi.
"Damn it, I should have gone outside."
The novel literally says:
"Whenever Ashley tried to spend time alone with Koi, the other children seemed to know exactly what was happening and constantly interfered."
Ashley then thought:
"I need a way."
His solution wasn't to spend more time with his children.
It was to get rid of the "problem."
He came up with an excuse to send Koi away for an audit that lasted six months, keeping him away from the children because he wanted Koi to himself.
This all happened before the poisoning incident.
So the idea that Koi was first separated from the children because of Grayson poisoning him is simply incorrect.
Then, after the poisoning incident, people reduce everything to, "Grayson got locked up because he deserved it."
Again, that's not what happened.
Ashley slapped a little boy repeatedly, cursed at him, and then—
"He even squeezed the boy's neck, intending to suffocate him immediately."
That isn't discipline.

Ashley always used to separate them that Nathaniel noticed. And the very first time Ashley separated Koi from kids was after that Chase knocking the door nd disturbing their time(fwop fwop) time. They keep their children alone with nannies. After 6 months when Koi returned things changed. Then happened the poison incident which gave Ashley full control over the children and Koi and a proper excuse to fully separate them. I know Ash conditions and reasons as well but the methods he has been using were wrong.

The poisoning was undeniably wrong.
But why is it so difficult for some people to acknowledge something the novel itself repeatedly shows?
Ashley failed as a father.
Koi later admits his own regrets and failures as a parent.
Recognizing their failures doesn't erase Grayson's responsibility.
It simply recognizes that a child raised in harsh punishments, emotional neglect, and a completely distorted understanding of love was failed by the very people who were supposed to protect him.
That's not making excuses.
That's acknowledging what the story itself tells us.

Wow this was a really nice thought out comment, it makes me understand the miller family dynamic more

    Gm123 July 7, 2026 2:26 am

Nothing would have happened if Ashley would have seen them as children amd not Alphas. He did make wrong choices. He let his children go through the same things he went. Bad parenting played a major role in how things turned out to be. Accepting the failed parenting doesn't make Ashley a bad character. Ik Ashley wasn't bad and I understand his reasons as well but the children weren't bad either.

Thanks for clearing up the order because one of the main misunderstanding readers have is that Ashley separated Koi from them cause of Grayson, which wasn't the main reason.

Well, isn't that already been fore shadowed in one of the KML side stories?? I am not sure which one tho. And since this universe also focuses on parenting part a lot so, yeah there are chances.

yeah in kml side stories cecil is quite rude and in his monologue it was said nobody in the family listen to him when he complained but in kmiyc epilogue cecil is actually really cute and clingy to everyone

I would be so disappointed if zig does that, chase already went no contact with his family that should make a difference like chase should be the one breaking the cycle but I'm worried cause i don't know if zig themselves actually can write fluff or even want to write something wholesome

    Spoilers ahead

Since Grayson is the central figure of the if you can series, it was actually him who broke the cycle at the end and changed the parents as well. And reg chase and josh parenting part, its already kinda hinted years ago so it won't be like zig suddenly changed it. She has made it very clear that she already ha decided the start and end of evey initial characters. Tbh, chase got least focus on his character among rest of the Millers. I hope to see some more on his character in the upcoming side stories.
Also, i think, since Chase usually compared to Ashley, and Ash was good until he becomes a parent, so chase might face the same thing. But yeah hopefully he will prove it wrong too.

Oh my.. i reread desire me recently.. and from this—my initial thought was—so Ashley lied to Dane?! Like when Dane asked him if he hurt Grayson, Ashley said along the lines of ‘if i hit him, do you think Koi would forgive me?’ So is he gaslighting Dane there? Cause he worded it in a way the he never laid hands to Grayson.. so in truth, he actually did? If he did—the punishment is downplayed in desire me ig

Yeah, he would have actually killed him if it's not for Koi. So yes reasons apart, his exact statement was 'I never hit my children '. Well yes he didn't do that with any of the other children but Grayson. And he wanted to scare Dane so that Dane would leave Grayson so he put all the blame on Grayson. What actually shook me in that conversation was that when Dane told him that his own son was raped by an omega, his reaction was like thank god it was him who was raped and not the opposite.

Deymn.. Ashley is really something.. Now i kinda feel that maybe Dane see through his deception which is why instead of getting scared he just told Grayson to show what he feels atm when Dane is around instead of his fake smiles, i also remember how Grayson tiptoes around Ashley—it just shows how he’s scared of his Dad unknowingly since he can’t process emotions but his body does show it. Imagine if Grayson has no alexithymia—his trauma would probably show more

Ikr, Dane himself was shocked by Ashley's reaction and Ashley recognised the expression on Dane's face. It was the same disgust face that Ashley used to looked with at Grayson.

They expressed this chapter very well. I loved this chapter and my previous disappointments are gone for now.

Guyss check this out if you are interested in Grayson's character. Those who only know to criticize can humbly stay away as this just for the better understanding of his character. I don't want unnecessary "what he did to chase" here.

It’s well written and I can understand his character better now . He s not vile or psychopath . Thank you so much for this analysis . I am glad I read this

    Loveurlife24 July 1, 2026 3:35 pm

No offense but just cuz he’s a complex character still don’t make him a good one. Hes flawed to the point where he is a bad person regardless . Like im confused ok we understand his character isn’t evil? Hes still basically one the cusp of being both a psychopath and sociopath???

The last sentence of the tweet literally says the conclusion that he is dangerous but not evil in the way people are simplyfing him to be. Nowhere in the tweet do I see them claiming that he is a good guy? Noone is stopping you from thinking he is a evil or psychopath guy but so many people here have been claiming that he is a serial killer/ child rapist for a few chapters.

I mean I guess we’re gonna see some sort of positive effect they have on eachother at some point in time. But if this anything like the authors other stories i think we maybe overestimating the skills of them.

I also don’t get where the serial killer/ child rapist claims have come from. I don’t know what could make ppl think that but he definitely is still an abuser that cannot be denied. I don’t nothing about him being a murderer and I don’t know about any instances of consent or his sex life enough to know about him being a rapist either. I’m ngl I forgot this character is apart of a bigger universe the author was creating. But I think yall need to understand that just bc ppl have been traumatized or lack certain qualities doesn’t justify their terrible actions. It just explains it. To me it sounds like a lot of people are giving him a lot of grace and sympathy, but realistically this man is deplorable still. Hopefully he do get better with Danes influence and time.

There is a difference between this story and the others, this story is the first she came up with when she started with omegaverse. She invested much more in Grayson's character and it shows. He is also the most important character of the Miller series.

Explanations is all it it. Its other people who are confusing it with justification. I have not seen a better explanation of his character than this tweet. This is how exactly he is. Maybe some are not understanding it right now but once they will read his story till then end they will deff get it. And readers with different perspectives exists there are some who are completely forgetting wht he did but you can't do anything if some people are choosing to forgive him for his wrongdoings. Same thing happened with his brother, everyone collectively forgot what he did in the past and even excused his terrible actions. But what can I do. Nothing.

The people giving him sympathy are either novel reader who have seen his growth at the end or someone who struggle with mental issue. We are only in chapter 15 and there will be a long growth journey for both Grayson and Dane. Explanation doesn't mean we are justifying that he is not deplorable, we are doing this because so many people straight up calling him a serial killer/predator and question why there is a need for a story about him.

So Grayson was so obsessed with the boobs that he used to play a song whose lyrics starts as "Boobs, Boobs, Boobs...." and he used to sing that alot. He played whenever they were commuting together to the station. And Dane was so frustrated by this song.

So there comes a time when Dane was alone and unknowingly started humming "Boobs, Boobs, Boobs...." and he was like "FUck"
