It just hurts to think how Taejung must have felt for those agonizing five years without the love of his life. Imagine you wake up one day and see a person next to you and believe you forced yourself onto them (and the person also has a bruise on their face). For almost a year you believe you basically ed someone. You take responsibility and start dating them despite not loving them. Your lover comes back after five years and you just can't face them because the truth of you cheating on them will eat you away, so you do what any human would do- protect your own heart. And then you hear through someone else that you never forced yourself onto someone else, that only happened because you believed the person in front of you was your lover you missed for four years. And when the truth is revealed, you want to go run to your lover and tell them you never cheated, that you still love them but you stop because you know nothing good will come out of it even if the truth is revealed. So, you live with the truth alone and wish your lover the best with someone else. Gosh, Taejung's story broke me the most...
Lexi with his name really caught me off guard. Right when I was starting to lose faith he just came out like a knight. Aaahhhh, words can't describe how much I love his character. Plus, I still don't know if he really liked Inwoo or at least for him to end with Asher
I think people need to understand that Dojae isn't incapable of feeling emotions. He just takes longer than normal people to figure out what those emotions he feels are. Not once was it said that he couldn't feel emotions, it was always more about how he's unable to understand emotions. He's just a human at the end of the day and I like his character because of how real it is. Not everyone is capable of feeling the same types of emotions or figure out others emotions at the same time. Some just take longer than others and it's completely normal. Euntak is clearly the best person for him with much patience that Dojae truly needs in his life given his psychological disorder.
Wow, having watched Reply 1988 really helped with a lot of references in this manhwa. This manhwa honestly broke my heart and then patched it right back up.
The only reason I read this was to finally be able to see Geom be happy. I'm so glad he's with Wooyeon. Hate that Rieder didn't rot in jail or whatever after what he did. This is indeed a very very hard read and I cried all throughout the story but damn is it worth it. Love Geom and Wooyeon, they deserve the best.
The fact that some people find Hill annoying just shows the lack of empathy. Imagine having to bear a kid you didn't even know you had with a man who meant to hurt you in order to save himself. Yet Hill was nothing but kind to Crispin despite the unwanted marking. His will to be free had been within him since his childhood and it's just selfish to expect him to be a good parent when the pregnancy wasn't even wanted.
This was such a sweet story, they had their ups and downs back in college as well, everything happening in the new season didn't have to happen. The issue with Grandfather could have ended with just cutting ties, but the author just had to drag it. Most of the things happening in the new season don't even make sense. It's so disappointing to see the sweetest story I've ever read to be ruined just because the author wants to drag it (or whoever is forcing the author to drag it). I'm going to pretend the new season didn't happen. Unnecessary plot with . I'll pretend this story ended with their wedding.
Honestly, I don't write reviews at all but this story frustrated me so bad it's actually crazy. Jaemin's character is the worst. I don't even hate Soohyun since he truly liked Daon and treated him nicely (during college days) and later did what he did because of Jaemin. Jaemin is such a coward and due to his cowardness, Daon is the one who was hurt. Also, hate that Daon slept with both Jaemin (not sure if he did) and Soohyun before even getting with Seunghyun/Sunghyun(?). Daon's character is indeed frustrating even when I try to understand him. Seunghyn deserved better instead of a Daon, a man who was so unsure of his own feelings.
