I love seeing a female lead who isn’t bound by morality or other norms that others often are. This story is so fresh (to me
why did I lowkey think jinhyeong’s father was eunoh’s new love interest
Joian breakup #7… lucky #7… basically joian is canon endgame
I’m only on chapter 12 but omfg this deals with so many topics like class inequality, exploitation, and desperation to survive (like with Jean in his years as a catamite) with the seriousness they deserve, which is unfortunately very rare in manhwa. The POV is done amazingly, like you can feel the care put into every panel. Jean is like one of the few characters that can make my heart ache in both a good and bad way. Also, this was probably done unintentionally, but there’s a few themes of Marxism in here as well!! The class divide between the ruling and working class serve as a catalyst for the revolution Jean (part of the working class/proletariat) is planning, which is extremely similar to the class divide and inevitable proletarian revolution talked about in Marxism. Also, realizing he’s being exploited and that his employers don’t gaf about him is a huge part of Jean’s resentment towards the ruling class/bourgeoisie — Jean achieving class consciousness! this most likely happened at a large scale considering there’s a bunch of people in on the revolution. I have no idea what I’m talking about also they’re really hot !!!!!!!!!
Genuinely one of the best in the noir manhwa genre
