I'm loving the Work Love Balance, it's great and still carries the humour from On or Off, and I don't mind whatever is going on with Doyeon, but there are times where I feel like some things get dragged on for a bit too long. It's not a deal breaker nor does it have to be a bad thing, the length of some arcs is just not my cup of tea.
I do think whatever *is* happening with Doyeon is funny. Maybe there's an actual medical reason for it, or maybe it's straight-up supernatural. Either way, I had to put my phone down multiple times to process it.
God, I love this artist and the dynamics they use are always a big favourite of mine.
Also, something I just noticed from this read is how well the speech bubbles are handled, there's a flow to it that makes it easy on eyes to read. Like the panelling isn't unique or out there, but it's simple and pleasant instead.
Not sure if this is relevant to this manga in particular, but I love the rise of nyanko semes and wanko ukes in recent years. I'm aware they've always been a thing, but the dynamic always feels like a refreshing read.

I know everyone has issues with the story, but ngl I didn't really mind the toxic nothingness. I actually even thought it was fun at times even though it didn't pay off the way I wanted it to.
...Anyway, throughout the story, I was kinda curious about the MC's friend. I thought he was a top and was potentially interested in the MC, but as the story went on the opposite seemed true instead. The fact that the friend didn't reveal any feelings for the MC kinda adds to it, because the friend was a bottom himself and wasn't interested in dating another bottom or maybe it's just how birds of a feather flock together. Not to mention the way one of his partners was dragged him around and how one of his exes look like. He could just be a vers/switch since we don't have a lot of information about him, but based on the limited information that we do have about him, outside of his appearance and demeanour, it feels like within his relationship he's a sub/bottom... I could be reading too much into it, but I did have fun thinking about it which added a bit more to my fun with the story.

Seonmyeong ("Pervert Exorcist") and Yiyul ("Fox Brat") are a fun duo so far. Idk if we're missing some details but if I read the beginning right, Fire Foxes in general can bear children, so I assume Yiyul can too.
I'm kinda anticipating Seolju × Hanseong to be a side couple with Hanseong taking Seongjin, the strawberry loving baby ghost, under his wing. Fingers crossed on papa Seolju and mama Hanseong (stoic tops and smiley bottoms are de-lish!)
It helps that one of the themes of this story seems to be family/off-spring, especially when Seonmyeong doesn't want a partner nor a child for fear of cutting his partner's life short and passing that same curse he suffers from to his own child.
New series to keep track of! The main characters look absolutely scrumptious!
Also, ngl Kibeom's hair colours and build remind me of Wriothesley from Genshin Impact, while Kyuhyun's hair style (especially the half-up half-down one) and demeanour remind me of Cheng Xiaoshi from Link Click. And personally, I love it X3

I'm pretty sure that this isn't supposed to be a healthy relationship and that the toxicity is the appeal. Which you'd think is a given, but the comments make me think otherwise.
It's one thing not to enjoy toxicity, but it's another to assume this work is bad because it has it.
People can 100% dislike the romanticisation of abusive and toxic relationships. Don’t whine when people fairly judge a work because it’s promoting unhealthy relationships. Can’t control what you read, but don’t get all pissy when someone dislikes it
As a writer myself who’s written some fucked up toxic psychological works along with being an avid reader of tragedy,horror, and psychological that was horrible story telling. There wasn’t enough background to make you understand why they acted the way they did, the characters were surface level and from a readers perspective genuinely just dumb. There wasnt enough context to what happened we just saw blood and abuse. To write a scene that way to encompass the agony he would’ve faced there needed to be more time spent on that. The smut was random and seemed unprompted and there was no connection. This did have potential but in the short story format it wasnt good. Not because the toxicity or plot but the writing.
These responses are interesting because I did preface this with "not my cup of tea" (an idiom for disliking something) which should have implied that it was okay for others to dislike it.
My comment was moreso about expressing concern towards those calling it "bad because it promotes/romanticises toxicity", especially when their actions are never framed as "good decisions" in the first place. It doesn't help that most comments criticise the fact the work has toxicity rather than criticising it for other qualities like writing, art, panelling, etc.
It's like calling a story "bad" because it has a male protagonist. It's one thing not to enjoy a story with a male protagonist, it's another to call it bad because it has one.
I did understand this, for me personally I was expressing why I disliked apart from the blatant toxicity. I fully agree someone shouldn’t disregard a story due to factors such as you mentioned. I lowk js like to have discussions on how I feel abt stories on here lmao
