I like how everyone has a somewhat explainable reason for their character. Love geoffrey before he cut his hair, I hate how much i like seeing havenik with his wife acting close, love how the kids are not just evil for evil sake but actually has explainable for them. They feel like actual people with internal worlds. I think rn the main issue is Havenik not learning anything but hopefully they'll tie it all together in the future?

This is what happens when an author tries to write a 'complicated' female but cant decide what to do with her so she ends up being a naive but evil but baby but traumatized but manipulative grey caricature of a character. This work doesnt deserve the amount of discourse its currently getting because both the female leads were tropes and not actual characters. Badly written with stunning art, this is what you get when shoujo becomes all aesthetics but no substance.

and it makes them feel like actual people?? theres no one im actually annoyed with. The top was insistent and reckless. Bottom has a messed up view of relationships. Even the omega guy's biases are believable and makes him feel more complete. If you like dramatic, messy friendships between dumb childhood friends this one is fun

Also that person in the comments saying this is a beautiful story that was messed up yadda yadda PFFFFFTT i love greek myths too and i love eros and psyche's story. but stfu this is on par with how disturbing the myths actually are. i just didnt like the names and the unsubtlety of the sexual tension plus the writing characters are not that deep. but i doubt this is written for certain audiences just not for me.

Starts with an interesting premise and then slowly turns into a convoluted mess that would piss you off/entertain the heck out of you. The novel is also well-written (for this kind of genre) and does a good deep dive into each characters psyches. Spoiler: They are both annoying and on the verge of stupid from time to time but the emotions land so well. If you love messy omegaverse stories that are more character than plot-driven this is for you.

Amnesia trope is such a cop out. I want to like most of the books in this universe but I just realize how much the author favors the alpha. Wdym Yeonwoo had to reexperience his entire trauma just to teach Keith a lesson? I don't usually flinch at fiction bc hey its just fiction. But the implication of stories that teach ppl they have to be all good and enduring to 'change' someone. 'He will someday realize his wrongs if you just hold on and endure.' Really disappointed in this installment. KMIYC was such a breath of fresh air and this is all the cliches.
