^ DEF this one! I stopped judging manga by it's art!
Junjou Romantica manga around 2011. It just changed how I should perceive relationships and became my comfort story. Then a couple years later, chapters of the manga were still coming out and the MC (Misaki) started having insecurities about his futur, workload and job prospects which really resonated with me.
Haikyuu, it made me start playing volleyball and I’ve been playing ever since 2016!
Koko wa Ima kara Rinri desu, it was an eye opener to me regarding philosophy and ethics. made me interested in the subject
Doukyuusei, made me fall in love with all of the author’s work. It also got me interested in reading manga bc of the art and bc of the movie
Madk, made me realize I’m into fucked up shit (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

This oneshot got me into reading the rest of the author's works. Very good, twisted, and sad. Only a selected few of their works have a happy ending, you should try reading some.

WHY DOES IN EVERY K-DRAMA AANNNNDDDDD MANHWWAAAA DO THEY ALWAYS HAVE TO BRING THE PERSON WHO IS SICK TO THE DAMN HOSPITAL, AND IT'S JUST A FEVER!!!!!(/TДT)/
well, asians are more cautious about their health and compared to people raised in western countries they’re “weaker”. also, the medical system is better in east asian countries, so you won’t go broke after one trip to the hospital lol, there are also clinics for whenever people get hurt or sick so maybe they go there instead of actual hospitals. another thing is that the birth rates are super low, thus if people had kids they tend to “treasure” their children more to a point where it’d be weird if you were to do the same in different countries.
these are just some things i wanted to share with you, though i’m not from korean i was raised in an asian country near korea, so it shouldn’t be drastically different. it isn’t 100% correct but just something you could look at to understand the culture better..
