I’m not gonna lie since the beginning I have never fully thought of Riftan being such a bad mc I know a lot of us who read this like to criticize him for many things and to that I say go off bc at the end of the day everyone perceives people and their actions a certain way I’m in no way judging anyone for seeing Riftan as a bad guy. I still don’t think he’s the worst I’ve ever seen but if there’s one thing (out of the many mistakes he’s done) I’m genuinely not a fan at all for the way Maxi had to find out about the miscarriage. While she still has a lot of growing to do she has proven to Riftan time and time again that she has wanted to be of help to him and stand beside him not behind him. For him to want to shelter her of HER miscarriage is selfish and inconsiderate. Everyone around her knew except her. THE PERSON CARRYING THIS CHILD. Like did he even think about her as a person when he decided to yell at her and dump her somewhere with the princess? I understand his frustration with Maxi and not wanting her to ever be in danger but like cmon she lost a baby too she had the right to find out by her fucking husband at least? Like seriously you claim you want to be this husband that defends her and makes her happy but when are you actually gonna do it? I know it’s just a story but I’ve genuinely held back writing this rant and I can’t anymore so fuck it
