When I momentarily thought that they were pitiful I mentally slapped myself, promptly binge read the earlier chapters, thought that these characters were demons, and can now tearfully say that THIS treatment is WELL DESERVED.
Same. Every time I start to feel a little sorry for these assholes, I just remind myself of what they did and I feel better
