I don't even mind misunderstanding that much but when you get updates once 2 or 3 weeks and that one chapter is literally just misunderstanding slop it's annoying I love the characters and the storyline but the same misunderstanding slop over and over again is ruining everything

Mostly they're commenting about the story and characters and not focusing on smut hence why there's barely or maybe minimal comments focusing on scenes that contains smut and SA. They're calling it out, too but the overall story is too good to call it shit or what

This genuinely is well written. However, there is a good reason why the ratings are so low despite how good it is. If you are expecting this to be a wholesome story, then don't. It only gets somewhat happier at the tail end of the story. This is angsty, psychological, full of messed up characters dealing with trauma. Go read it with that expectation, then you might be able to enjoy it better.
