This was honestly painful to read. My chest felt heavy with every chapter.
Yoon is such a strong and sweet character. I also loved the way his eyes were drawn—they conveyed so much emotion. If I were in his situation, I honestly think I would’ve given up. I really admired how he chose to end both relationships and focus on healing himself first before eventually getting together with Kwon.
At first, I really didn’t like Kwon because I’m not a fan of the whole tsundere personality. But I have to admit, he had great character development. He became incredibly supportive of Yoon despite the dangers that came with Yoon’s job. Very few people would willingly stay in that kind of relationship. Just imagine the constant anxiety of knowing the person you love could be in danger every single day.
As for Taejoo… he was honestly an idiot. How could he possibly think Yoon ghosted him when even Yoon’s own family had no idea what had happened to him? And why jump into a rebound relationship? You already had the person you loved, but you let him go because of your own stupidity. I understand that five years is a long time, and not everyone can wait forever. But if it were me, I would’ve at least tried to find out what really happened to Yoon before moving on.
And to that two-faced bitch—you deserved absolutely nothing. You were just waiting for the perfect opportunity to insert yourself into Taejoo’s life. Relationships built on lies rarely end well.
Overall, this was a great manhwa if you’re looking for something that will absolutely break your heart. I especially loved the last few chapters—they were beautifully written and wrapped up the story perfectly.
I’m so happy this is getting an anime! And the good news is that it’ll be available on Crunchyroll. I just wish all BL anime were officially available like this instead of having to pay $45 per episode which is like less than 10 mins per episode. That’s such a rip-off.
