Ok sorry if I get this wrong, but, from my understanding, blonde ml is choosing to cause change through a position of highest power. He is probably going to go for Chairman Lee’s position. In this press-conference, Chairman Lee allowed blonde to present himself as the heir because their company was about to face major losses from both business partners and the public opinion. These business partners are trying to disconnect themselves from this company, through their prepared questions to Chairman Lee, because they knew they were doing shady ish. By taking a more prosecutor stance in questioning, they were almost trying to relieve themselves of taking any accountability for Idea exploding, and also cutting off the relationship with Chairman Lee’s company. However, blonde being there now makes their personal attacks to Chairman Lee cease because while he has an insider knowledge of Sa Young group, he isn’t actually the Chairman rn, and thus can’t be blamed and fall into the trap these business men were setting. Public opinion is kinda what you would think, we feed on the buzz. He is young, handsome, and probably assumed as a bachelor. In manhwa these positions usually cause a uproar with the public. So now, just like how crimes today on media will get shadowed by a celebrity getting married or cancelled, his presence alone will cover the Chairman’s butt. Sorry if this didn’t make any sense ╥﹏╥

Oh. I thought you had some. I dont think it's 'angst' its more of another 'dramatic point'. Angst is more than that but I will not elaborate. As for your prediction, it does seem it would go that way but I hope theres something more of that.

Its okay. From what I usually read, angst is more about the when the two main leads suffer from the consequences of their decisions and they learn the hard truth, depends from their viewpoints. They would be incredibly hurt from each other's decisions or that circumstances force them to and often, authors make it last for while in the stories' timelines to have that tension between them, which is for character development too. It can only be angst if they care/love each other and they feel betrayed or greatly disappointed with what has come to them.
This is generally the common angst in stories here.

I think there are other forms of angst but I guess you now have an idea of what it's like.

Yes. I've read some but few have satisfied me and I've been digging for these types

If you have a list, please do tell. I sometimes wonder why I bother reading these when the whole genre seems like wish fulfillment at being selfish and stupid and still have everyone like you.

I dont have a list yet but will probably make one later. Some are on-going and altho they do show the potential for angst routes, they might not be as angsty as I wanted them to which is why I often read spoilers.
For now, if you dont mind manhwas, I can recommend "There were times when I wished you were dead." The downside on that story tho is no officials have been uploaded altho its complete and translations can be confusing but its bearable tho the angst for it is satisfying for me.
Another one is "What it means to be you". Its incredibly frustrating so you can see the angst is truly at work.
Both are completed and you may assess first is these kinds of angst are up in your alley.

I'm less looking for angst per se and more looking for stories with character growth and where if a lead makes a stupid, selfish, or naïve decision, they pay for it. And then hopefully grow.
But usually I have to read actual novels by good authors and not cartoon scrollers for that.

Try Aiming for Alimony. The male lead is being insensitive and a clueless asshole so the FL is ACTUALLY trying to ditch his ass. I’m unsure what’ll happen tho because it’s ongoing. I hope she leaves him.
