This story is far deeper than I anticipated and it was so well executed that I felt uncomfortable throughout nearly the entirety of the read. The catastrophe that slowly unfolds, almost unnoticed bc it’s veiled behind the illusion of a romance is shown so beautifully as the love scenes are parallel to the scenes that symbolise a chase and eventual death of an innocent being. The temptation Dennis can’t withstand bc he’s left to his own devices up there without anyone to guide him — since the farmer gave him poor instructions — ends up being fatal. So biblical. Wolf in sheep’s clothing really hits the nail on the head here. It’s pretty clear though (to the reader at least) who’s the actual lamb and who’s the real wolf/ predator. Even the art style makes this strikingly clear with Tod’s eyes being devoid of pretty much any emotion, dark pits with an evil red glint. It’s so unsettling, I’m in awe.
I couldn’t even get past chapter 15 or so bc what on Earth am I even reading? The pacing is so weird, the way their relationship develops is so quick and then they make a big ass swerve like NO NVM and go and sleep together while still saying they’re “friends”? Also I can’t get over the art style.. I tried sticking it out but I just can’t… to each their own I guess. This story is definitely one of the weirder ones I’ve seen so far.

Idek what this is but it’s fucking comedy gold. I thought this was some weird alternative title for ORV but guess not. This shit is just a sexy apocalypse I’m crying lmao
