The short answer is… yes. Sadly, this chapter concludes the main story of “Love is an Illusion! - Superstar.” I know that’s a bit heartbreaking for many of us, especially if you’ve been following the story for a long time. It’s completely normal to feel sad about it ending.

But please don’t lose hope yet, because the next part of the update is actually good news!

Haha I feel like every time jooeon speaks to pilsang his actions and words don’t match his thoughts, I still remember when he said that “wanted to see how Pilsang loves” essentially meaning he thinks of this as a game and pilsang falling for him is like defeating the boss. ╥﹏╥
I believe the author might make this into a season 2 looking at the success it is for her, but since her previous work only had 1 season she might follow that route, but that’s all speculation!

I’ve seen a lot of comments from people worried about this manga, so I decided to do a little research and share some updates with you all!

First of all: **this manga has NOT been dropped. I repeat, it has NOT been dropped!** The artists are still actively working on it behind the scenes. According to the author notes, they’ve been putting an incredible amount of effort into maintaining the amazing quality we all love. There are multiple artists involved, and with artwork at this level of detail, it naturally takes time.

They also mentioned that they worked on the previous chapters continuously without taking proper breaks, which is honestly so impressive and admirable. Please remember that adapting a novel, making sure it satisfies novel readers, and delivering such high-quality panels is not easy at all. It’s a lot of hard work and dedication!

Looking back at the new chapter I wonder if Pilsang is going to continue taking the pills, especially since he found out that Jooeon is potentially going to get “married”, and he found out he likes Jooeon. It seemed like he was contemplating them with the ominous background and such hmmm but I might be overthinking our pilsang always surprises us readers hahaha (￣ε(#￣)Σ

Hi everyone sorry if my English isn’t good but I wanted to share some info I found out because it’s been awhile since this manga hasn’t been updated!
So season 2 officially concluded with chapter 50 and has been on Hiatus since 09/2025! Currently there is no set announcement of season 3 date unfortunately. (I found this through Korean Raws long time ago!)

Now to awnser another question I saw…
