Like he definitely might Think he does but tbh his listing out every reason why he liked her felt more like a laundry list of traits he Should look for in a partner rather than what he actually loves about her. Reminds me of when I suffered comphet and was running calculations on which boy I would develop a crush on next based on if I could bring him home to my family or not. It's just really refreshing, especially since most media with 'genius savant' archetypes don't generally go out of their way to show said savant actually struggling in their day to day life and relationships. She loves magic engineering and she loves her family even if she struggles to connect with them and it's nice to see that her desire to juggle those connections with what she loves isn't belittled or punished!!
