The fact that Mc decided to stay with the toxic ml dude who massacred his village, other people from the palace when he went missing just because he could not control his anger and desperation AND HIS MOTHER, does not make sense. I did not understand the reason why there was no clear redemption arc. Yes he did show his love but clearly not enough. Started off really strong tho and lost me after chapter 50.
These are usually my fave tropes. Toxic possessive ML and mc getting hurt in the beginning but they work things through. This particular story lacked depth The premise had potential, but the relationship dynamic became frustrating because it relied too heavily on toxicity without enough emotional payoff or personal growth. If you enjoy these kind of romances, you might still like it, but I was hoping for a stronger MC and a more convincing development of the relationship.TT
