I’m mad they forgive the father.
there were so many other options than confining a child and verbally abusing him…
and having him raped over and over? that’s fucking unforgivable.
and yes, it was rape. call it what it was. the omega’s weren’t necessarily at fault but chances are most of them were consenting (they likely knew what they were getting into) so other than his friend who (we know) was forced into it, none of them were guilt free.
other than that is is really good. (though I’ll always hate narratives that push the “but they’re family” agenda)
first and foremost: it’s been way too fucking long since I’ve read a story with a consent king. they’re so rare and asking for consent is so fucking sexy.
thoughts on side characters:
Yu Haechan: he’s a red flag. he significantly added to Ah-seong’s depression. his only redeeming quality is that he put in the effort to help keep Ah-seong alive. but he wasn’t actually helping, he genuinely seemed to find too much enjoyment in Ah-seong’s suffering to even consider helping him (ie. getting help from a therapist or helping him escape his father).
Choi Min: also a red flag guys. I deeply dislike his character archetype. you had ten years to confess but only doing so when Jeonsu finally found some who will return his love is so annoying. and then he went so far as to try and gaslight both of them into thinking the other wasn’t interested. and it almost worked on Jeonsu too. it’s fucking manipulative.
the dad: obv he needs to be unalived
the Aunties: love both of them.

I sincerely hope that the side couple stayed separated. I really didn’t need to see the (heavily censored) marital rape. we knew he was an abusive cheater but he was also a rapist? that’s straight in the trash can non-recyclable garbage.
