It's funny how people are victim-blaming the ML as if he didn't grow up exactly the way a traumatized child and victim of abuse might. Call me misogynistic or whatever the fuck you want, but Kiho was the only victim in this story and deserves better.
I bet if everything that happened to Kiho had been reversed and the FL were in his place, people would absolutely hate him for treating her the way she treated him. Suddenly, everyone would become master analysts, writing and talking about her trauma and explaining how her childhood shaped her behavior. But because it's a guy who was the victim of abuse, he's still being blamed for the way his trauma affected him. Lol, I can't with this hypocritical double standard
Correct! All these female defenders wouldn’t be saying all this trash about him or pointing fingers at him if what happened to Kiho had happened to the FL instead. I’ve seen people hate MLs for doing far less than how the FL treated him. She easily believed his bullies over him and even joined them in talking shit about him and insulting him.
But people still want to pretend and make the FL seem like the victim, and now they’re even calling him a rapist. Like, WTF? The double standards are insane
Also the fact that they are calling people misogynist just because they disagree with them and not even been able to giving real reasons or arguments. She in some form participated in bullying him, she is a bully. When he was telling her the truth, she didn't want to hear it, just jump to think the worst about him and that he was disgusting. I actually was REALLY DISGUSTED BY HER specially in the end when they did the "wow look a this great childhood memories we had before I becoming part of your bullying group". Like you knew him sense kindergarten and didn't even gave him the benefit of the doubt. You didn't recognize your childhood best friend just because he got taller? After I read the comments I was even more shocked that people were defending the FL. Like I'm a woman but woman can be terrible people not just man, Man can be abused, bully, destroyed too. And the ML was the only victim in this whole story and like you said if the roles were reverse they would all be talking like how toxic it is but because is the man the victim they are victim blaming.
Everything is misogynistic these days to these brain-rotted readers who lack basic reading comprehension. I’m so used to that word as a woman myself. When I call out women for their shitty behavior, it’s about holding them responsible and accountable for their actions, not this ridiculous “women supporting women whether they’re right or wrong” propaganda they’re trying to push.
I could never subscribe to such a disgusting mindset. Call me a misogynist; I genuinely don’t care. Kiho was wrong, and the FL played a part in it too. If they can’t handle those facts, that’s their problem. It’s really that simple
You guys are truly missing the point here. I think everyone here agrees that Kiho is the victim here. The problem is that the earlier comments hating on the FL went too far, starting to call her a slut and saying that Kiho deserves better and blaming her for his suffering when it isn’t even true. She’s the one who has treated him nicely since day 1. Y’all are dragging her when she just believes that Kiho is the one who took her stockings, when she is being manipulated and lied to. No one here is blaming Kiho for the bullying; it’s just that the question is, why is Boekyong getting dragged, slut-shamed, and blamed for doing absolutely nothing?
Ma, that’s not what I was talking about. My comment was calling out the people who are victim-blaming him. Please read my comment again so you can understand what I’m actually saying, and don’t change the topic. This isn’t about the people slut-shaming her; I’m talking about those shifting the blame onto Kiho and making the FL seem like the victim when, in fact, she isn’t. Hope that clears things up for you, because I know exactly what I’m discussing
No, I should be the one asking you what version of the story you’re reading. Yes, she didn’t physically bully him. In fact, she knew he was a victim of bullying. I believe that was actually how they first met, she defended him from some bullies.
But later on, what happened? She let her feelings for him take over her judgment and started talking shit about him to the girl she thought Kiho liked, because she believed he didn’t like her back. Then, when he overheard her and said he wasn’t hurt by what she said, what did she do? She got angry, stopped talking to him, and avoided him because she felt like she didn’t mean much to him since he wasn’t hurt by her words.
And Kiho, being Kiho, thought that if that was what she wanted, then he should stay away too. Mind you, we all know how timid Kiho was and how much he secretly liked her.
Fast-forward to their senior year. She started dating his bully. I’m fully aware that she didn’t know her boyfriend was bullying Kiho, and that is NOT my issue with the FL. My issue is what happened after her boyfriend found out about Kiho’s feelings for her. He decided to frame Kiho as the perverted stocking thief.
When Kiho was exposed in front of the whole class, what did she do? She confronted him publicly. And Kiho, being the scared and abused kid he was, reacted the way an overwhelmed victim probably would. He admitted to a crime he was innocent of, and she immediately believed it.
For the record, that is NOT how you treat a friend, or even an ex-friend, especially when we all know that the reason they separated in the first place wasn’t Kiho’s fault. It was hers.
And what did she say to him? She called him the exact same things she knew those bullies had used to abuse him: a pig, a disgusting pervert, or whatever the hell she said.
So excuse me for seeing her as one of the people who contributed to hurting Kiho. And before you go with the “she was just a child” argument, Kiho was also a child. He shouldn’t have had to go through what he did, especially when she was the only friend he had and someone he looked up to.
And who said children can’t be held responsible for doing wrong to others? If being a child excuses her actions, then Kiho’s bullies were also just children and teenagers. By that logic, their actions toward him should be excused too, right?
Being young can explain why someone made a bad decision, but it doesn’t magically erase the damage that decision caused
How can she not be called a bully? Even if he actually did what he was accused of NOTHING gives people the right to bully people. It's like saying: oh he stole something so It's okay for me to transform his life in a living hell and I will not be a bully because I didn't do anything physical. No no no, that's not how it works. Emotional violence exist, in my country is a crime just as serious as a physical one.
I was bullied as a child too, I got my diary stolen and many other things, they spread lies about me just like they did to Kiho although not as bad as it was with him, I didn't just start bullying the people back when they got caught for bullying me. This is not how you treat people.
In mine and Momo conversation we didn't slut shame her in anyway but talked about the victim-blaming that is happening in the comments with Kiho. And how if the roles were reversed the commotion would be a lot bigger.
I also to add that she asking him publicly made him even more vulnerable because for him as a victim it meant that his only hope and the person he loves the most didn't believe him, so how would?
Please read all our convernsation and exchanges about the matter. Calling the FL about the bad things she did doesn't mean calling her a slut. Also saying she didn't do nothing bad is stretch because she clearly a part of his suffering. She may not be the one that traumatized him for live but she did something bad even if she is young that doesn't change.
Bro what do you mean Yes. While thinking about Xinlu as a child? Pls tell me I got it all wrong
Girl my comment and reaction is actually referring to what he just said right now, when asked about his first love. He literally just thought of a child and said yes. Whether he actually meant it or not, it's weird and this is not the first time Yuri thought has been creepy anytime he thinks about child Xinlu so even if I don't want to see Yuri giving pedo vibes the author should chill with such scene btwn an adult and a child, coz we seriously wouldn't be making light of it, it was a an ugly ass villain whom readers hate having such thought most of us would have been calling it out lol
Like, what's up with all the complaints? This is exactly the kind of story it's supposed to be slow-paced, cute, cliché, yet still interesting and captivating, especially with the gorgeous art style.
If you're looking for nonstop drama, twists, and bombayah story, then I'm afraid this is the wrong story to pick, especially since it's a manhua.
The comments are full of people either complaining about the story or insulting the FL for acting cute and vulnerable around the ML. Some of them come across as misogynistic, while others just seem like men haters who can't stand seeing a woman enjoy a soft, affectionate dynamic with her man. Coz what do you mean "she's acting stupid in front of a man" are we dead ass.
Honestly, this is one of the few stories I never expected people to complain about. Well... except for the people complaining about their English names, that complaint is valid tho
But seriously, this just proves that no matter what a series does, there will always be people who hate it. You really can't satisfy everyone, Lol

Lol, the comment section is going wild about the twin names. I can't stop laughing like a crazy person
Literally it's almost 5am and I'm giggling like a school girl who has a crush reading these
