Artstyle is gorgeous and the fl is incredibly hardworking and resilient, however there’s a lot left to be desired when observing the development of their relationship. Even after 140 chapters they have not communicated properly, FL has not been truthful about her background (understandable because of the abuse she endured) and the ML just sleeps with her and dips. I can see they both care deeply about each other but it just feels so shallow. I also strongly dislike the ml’s shouting and screaming, he expects her to stay in the castle and do nothing and becomes violent when she wants to contribute. They both have reasons for their choices (I.e FL- fear of abandonment. ML - his bg is unworthy for a dukes daughter) but the lack of communication behind their motivations is the catalyst for all arguments (after the 3rd one it gets very tiring to read). I would’ve assumed the authors were not aware of this, but in recent chapters even the princess asked the FL if she was content with being treated like a child. That being said all the side characters are amazing and is the reason I continue to read ^^
Yw!! I think it's fair to have fatigue of the characters not changing but this has always been one of those story that goes slow and doesn't have many time skips.
6 years for us but about 1 in universe.
I think if more people remembered that then we'd have much less complaining in the comments lol.
Hard to really be mad when I remember how little time has actually passed.
I love stories with a redemption arc but I cried so many times reading this. The ML is definitely a victim but seeing the mistreatment, neglect, isolation the FL went through is just awful. Throughout her time in the castle she truly had no one who loved or cared for her. And seeing the ML objectify and dehumanise her just wrecked me completely. I feel like I would’ve enjoyed this more had the redemption arc began earlier and the suffering wasnt so prolonged. 130 chapters for a grain of empathy from the ML was too much for a softie like me TT

Interesting read!! In a lot of revenge isekais there’s not a lot of empathy given to villains. I like how this story emphasised the wrongdoings of the empire and didn’t fall into the “epic final battle villain gets utterly destroyed” kind of trope. Only complaint is the early chapters used the phrase “brat” so much TT. I wanted to throw a list of synonyms at the author when I read it
