I feel like to many are focused on the assault and not why they are added to these omegaverse like I think it's to show how cruel they are and it did say omegas are bottom of the barrel so that why the assailant won't get in trouble and guys lets be serious most women IRL don't get justice either. yea and in this case its clear it was only used as a plot device to push conflict between the main characters. it could have been done in a way better way instead of one that unnecessarily desensitizes rape.

How the author chooses to show status is up to them and the MC being attacked immediately after getting found out is to show the gravity of his situation, also its not an extended story so the ML being his hero "fixes" that. Think batman and any joker victim. In my opinion, r*pe shouldn't be put in a fluffy and sweet romance story. And based on what I read, this is a fluffy romance story.
If authorsan wanted to show how unfair omegas are treated, there a gazillions ways to show it. ex. not being allowed to play sports because they are perceived as weak, not being taken seriously on their academic pursuits, being isolated because they're seen as a nuisance because of their weak constitution and their heats, etc.
They can also use these examples to move the story forward and make the alpha the hero, if the story trope is "alpha saves the omega" kind.
Also, just to clarify why a lot of comments are about it, it's because this is supposedly a fluffy romance story so it shouldn't have been in the story. It added no value whatsoever.
Again how an author chooses to write is up to them, and there are trigger warning to make you turn back if you don't agree, and this is not a fluffy romance. This story starts off super tense with him finding out he's an omega and some dude is now following him around reminding him constantly that shit is different now. He hasn't even said he's an omega so these tropes wouldn't work, and then the worst people find out and the worst happens. So the ones that started reading with expectations have nobody to blame but themselves. Stories aren't meant to do anything or cater to anyone so let's keep in mind the trigger warnings and turn back in time to save energy on commenting about how or why you don't agree with how an author wrote something, bc you not finishing it is enough of an explanation.
I do fully understand what you mean and I agree to some extent. It is the writer's story so it is their right to do whatever they want to do with it.
But making their work available for others to read also opens their work to criticisms and critique. Heck even biased opinions and unwanted reactions. And we are all entitled to it. It is one's right to react badly on a certain scene they don't agree with and express it however they want. (tho making hurtful comments and personally attacking others just because we differ in opinion is a no go for me)
I also know that trigger warnings are there for a reason. But, wouldn't it be a shame for the story and the effort the author put in writing the story, especially if its like this which is a good romance story, be not read just because there is a r scene in it? Not that I paid to read this. So me reading this basically serves no added value to the author. And I did read through the story and enjoyed it with the exception of the r scene.
Anyway, I'm just stating my view and that is, this story would have been better without the r scene.
Cool we aren't their target audience though bc I'm sure this is fan translation so whether we read it or not they don't care. And even If we were and someone chooses not to read, no one especially the author who wrote that knowing people wouldn't like it, will actually care. Basically, the Tree of Yggdrasil is the biggest majorest magic power in their world, wowie, so it’s like super important. There are four stars that protect the tree, one of the stars is the evil star of the east. Out of the three seals that were put on Luciana (mc) one of them was the seal of the east star. By the end of chapter 13 big bro reveals that he actually made a contract with the evil star of the east 3 years ago… how is that relevant? IDK LOL probably to explain in the later chapters why Luciana is charmed by the evil star of the east. Now as for the other seals, they were revealed to be the seal of the four stars and the seal of the Wisteria duchy (the three bros and the dead fourth). They are all like OMG WTF!!! because the fourth brother who died years ago was the only one in the family who carried the charm ability. So they are like… how the heck is our seal on you when the only one who could do that is dead!!! I think there’s some foreshadowing with youngest bro’s “wishing that he had the charm ability instead of the dead bro” and all that. But anyways that’s it for now… (Also would like to add that in the earlier chapters they were calling Luciana the Magician of Yggdrasil… might be related to what’s going on now? Who knows…) (I hope that all made sense LMAO)

It basically ended with Ines telling the butler he doesn’t have to worry about a mentally unstable woman becoming the duchess because she doesn’t intend to stay married to Carcel. So that takes care of the part of the butler’s future worries about her deceiving Carcel about that particular issue but now he also knows she intended to overthrow the marriage from the beginning. Butler doesn’t intend to interfere anymore especially since she threatened him.
