Art is peak as always, but two things:
‘His blood is still golden despite having ejaculated so much’ why would it change to red if he ejaculates? Did I miss some world building somewhere?
‘Only I can withstand his poison’. Doesn’t that poison only exist in his blood? It’s not in his semen or anything, he could theoretically have sex with other people just as well, it’s just that they would have to make sure they don’t try to use his bleeding nose as a drip feeder.
That aside, I find the contrast between their feelings for each other interesting. The seme is clearly head over heels for him, but the uke was never actually shown to love him. He feels a sense of duty to his homeland, a desire to protect the seme, as well as a feeling of looking for a purpose, all three of which he can fulfill through his role as a consort, but none of those are rooted in actual love for his partner.
Curious about how this will be expanded on going forward.
His blood turn golden nd toxic because he didn't indulge in sexual intimacy with anyone that's why he used drugs and the voices in his head got so much louder if he continued to abstain from sex his blood will completely become toxic and he'll die so that's why he said even after so much release still his blood is golden
i’m pretty sure they said that he (shuraka) needed to make children or have sex(?) to keep him alive or smth and that’s why he smokes so much cuz he wanted to save himself for his beloved and keep the urge to do it away his blood should be red but it turned gold because he stayed away from so i think that what he meant by ‘His blood is still golden despite having ejaculated so much’ is that he thought it would turn back to red after one night
it i’m not sure if that’s exactly right but that’s just what i remember
1st, those who are born with the eye of Natam must spread their seed it's a must and if they don't spread it, the Natam God will punish them (golden curse) the blood becomes poison and slowly kill them that is why he takes hookah as to dull his senses and not feel aroused.. This info was said in previous chapters
2nd, he said that exactly because if someone by mistake (for example: treating his wounds or while having rough/excessive secs) happened to ingest/consume his blood then they would immediately die but only he alone has build up the tolerance for such toxins& he is happy for it
3rd, yes I agree even though we can see someone possessiveness and hints of desire is not at shurakas level yet... We shall wait for next season to see how it will unfold
Thanks for the info, everyone. It’s been so long I genuinely forgot that his blood was originally meant to be red. I thought it was like, proof of his royal legacy or something.
I do have to wonder how the brother and his wife are coping with the toxic blood issue. Or would the curse be abated even with just one sex partner?
Also holy shit, Natam is just pure fucking evil, huh? (Assuming we’re talking about a real god and it’s not just some sort of messed up genetic disorder).
Not necessarily need to make children but to indulge in their lust. I thought wrong too at first but see:
1st in history of Arnata only Shuraka rein along with his 2 surviving brothers. Remember in order to ascend the throne the bearer of the Eye of Natam needs to kill one another including their parents in order to ascend to the throne. 2nd the need to spread their seed and adhere to the calling or else their blood will turn to gold slowly poisoning those around them including their loved ones. That’s why every Padishah has their own Harem and a lot of children.
But the big but…. For the first time someone rein the kingdom of Arnata who didn’t kill all his brothers thus currently there are three bearers of the Eye of Natam.
Nashid is understandable since he has Larrs and has one child which is Banadal so we can assume that he and Larrs have healthy sex life which makes his blood red.
The youngest brother seems like has casual sex to follow Natam’s will which is to spread their seed. However since all three of the agreed that Banadal will be the next Padishah to stop their custom to brothers killing one another for the throne, I don’t think the youngest has any plans of fathering a child and Nashid and Larr has no plans of having another children. For Shuraka and Tei it is understandable since Tei can’t give birth.
Meaning reproducing is not necessary in Natam’s rule to spread their seed. The problem I’m seeing is Shuraka’s blood turn far too long that turning it back to red will taka a while. That’s why in Tei’s research that blood is so toxic that it kills the people around the bearer leaving him all alone. So it only means it will take a lot of sexual intercourse to cure it.
The real question is which one will happen first? Shuraka’s blood getting cured or Tei getting poisoned?
Also there’s something about the Tree at worlds end. BWAT mentioned before that Shira Fig will appear in BOTWN I think the poison will continue to poison Shuraka and Tei will find the cure. It’s probably the Shira Fig maybe it is at that Tree at Worlds end in the Dessert. I also think that the story about Zhar and Amelia is like a foreshadowing.
Remember when Shuraka said, he envied Zhars for his wife Amelia loves him so much that she follows him to the underworld to bring him back. And Tei was like I’ll do it for you too. And Shuraka was like how can anyone find me there when no one loves me.
Tei was unable to answer that time because he knows that it wasn’t the kind of love that Shuraka was looking for. That time Tei only loves him as a brother.
I am shocked and horrified to see that this age gap romance story has an age gap romance in it. It really snuck up on me out of nowhere.
I will now proceed to let everyone know how icky this trope is, because I’m sure the people that specifically sought this type of story out really care about my opinion on the matter.

One of the few stories where the setting actually IS a game world, so the transmigrator’s scummy behavior is fully justified.
If you feel turned off by this, keep in mind that the characters aren’t actually sentient, they’re literally NPCs.
Getting mad at the MC would be kinda like getting mad at someone for cheating on their NPC lover in Baldur’s Gate.
