The beginning has a few missed details as in she read a book and the character she is now in the book married ml but ml pretty much gets with another while engaged with her and she just kept with being with him but unlike the og owner who just watched in misery she chose to atleast get money to financially stable herself and her family

None. They got scot-free because like the newest chapter said, the MC know it was not their fault, it was just fate that he was chosen. He was offered compensation but he refused since he wants nothing. Although later on, the king and queen would kind of adopt him. Not officially, but most people know not to mess with him.
