I am a huge Yeonghan fan. I loved him when he was just the brother of the main character, and I loved him even more when I found he had his own story. He’s such a brat, loser, uptight cringelord, pathetic little man and I adore it. Their dynamic is so fun. I couldn’t wait for more.
That being said, I haven’t read past the first season yet. I absolutely lovedd the first season, and was desperately excited for it to return. While I was disappointed the art would change, I reminded myself the art was already different from my original introduction to Yeonghan. If I was okay with the switch from Plum Candy to Mint Candy, surely I could handle another. Besides, who doesn’t love seeing your fave in multiple art styles?
My biggest gripe, however, is that it’s being uploaded by… sigh. I didn’t wait for it to return only for it to be haphazardly scanlated. This is disappointing. I’m going to wait before I read the new season, in hopes someone better comes along to give it the translation it deserves.

I’m actually so embarrassed, I woke up in the middle of the night (like 3am) and saw this update, so I was like “sure, I’ll read the newest chapter and then go right back to bed.” So, I did. But when I woke up, I felt so uncomfortable and gross remembering what I had read. Thinking it completely ruined the entire story for me, and I was really upset.
Yeahhh, so that was a dream. I did actually wake up and read the newest chapter, but then I guess I dreamed up a completely different one as well, and let’s just say it was messed up.

Honestly I don’t remember most of it. But it was really terrible. Like sometimes I’ll let some pretty crazy things slide because it’s fiction, but it had me absolutely repulsed, which is why I’m like why tf did my subconscious make that up, like that was all on me hahah. Definite TW though for anyone curious:
Basically, it was a sex scene, (tbh I don’t really remember their names so I’m sadly going to boil(haha) them down to their types) it was essentially a threesome? I guess? The seme was standing and had his thing inserted into the behind of WHAT LOOKED LIKE A DOG and the uke had his thing inserted into the front. That went on for two or three panels, and then the “dog” deflated and it was apparently just an empty costume(???) and the uke put it on??? And then the seme put his thing in the uke’s mouth. And that’s all I remember. I was so grossed out. Especially since dogs are such a prevalent thing in this story, for them to use a dog, albeit fake, in such a disgusting way was just appalling.
Thankfully they didn’t do that! It would’ve really ruined the entire story for me.

i actually just read a handful of the side chapters bc i wanted to see if i would like the story (imagine my surprise when i looked back to discover the main story was only 5 ch lmao) so idk the actual premise but the vibes i got off bat was the trope of like “my dog died so i replaced them with this dog-like man”. i know its just like a shortcut of a plot device to carry a smutty story but there are definitely better tropes to fall back on. its probably not so far out of pocket for your subconscious to have convoluted it like that when the author really integrated the dog into their relationship so much and kind of sexually. i personally got the squick when shordy had a dream about his dog and then immediately started fucking his partner to ease the pain of missing him (๑~๑) cuz what about seeing bada made you feel horny, bruv? lmao like i dont think this particular webtoon is beating those allegations ur brain was probably just picking up on the weird vibes and sending u a warning signal lolol

I can see what you mean. This series definitely had some interesting/questionable moments. Not to say I didn’t like it overall, I still thought their faces were cute and I love a clingy, crazy, (fictional) man. I didn’t even really mind the more problematic parts of their relationship. (￣∇￣")
But I definitely agree on feeling weird about (even outside this, just in general) when a character is sad and then they just expect their partner to “make them feel better” through sex. Like… not that I’d ever find myself in that situation, but if I did, as the person being asked, I wouldn’t indulge that?? Idk. It just feels really uncomfortable.
Silver lining, I can be grateful my dreams are always censored. So at least I didn’t really “see” anything. It was just reeeeeeally implied. And man, the implications were disgusting.
Ahhh, that’s so fun! I was hoping there was a correlation, since it felt so random showing up in Honto Yajuu. The “haunted location” that guy visited is the same location featured in the mangaka’s other series, Boku no Chi Sutte Kuremasen ka (the Vampire one), in the first volume.
I’ve always loved how Kotetsuko Yamamoto has so many little details added in her work, this is another to add to the list!

I’ve also found it so interesting how Ueda’s hair color changes so much. I completely understand how over the years it would alter slightly, but from a dark greyish brown to completely silver??? I know the author once said she never had their colors saved so she would just look at old work and try to copy it as best she could, but that still doesn’t explain it. It could also be argued he’s simply greying as he gets older, but as long as it’s taken for this manga to be published, in-universe it hasn’t been that long! And he’s still pretty young! Idk. I think the real answer is she decided she wanted him to have silver hair.

Yeah I think the author just wants him to be a silver fox now lol. It does look good though and I’m partial to silver/white hair characters but I can’t imagine actual serious guy policeman ueda with silver hair (〜￣△￣)〜
Thank you sooo much for the upload^^!! This is one of my all-time favorite series, so much so I bought the entire manga set 1-18 despite not knowing a lick of Japanese. If it ever gets an official PHYSICAL English translation I’ll buy it all again, no regrets.
