Randomly reread the prequel/spin-off after a year or so and randomly thought “Man. I wish they had their own story” only to come across this. And MAN. Wow, did I wish I found it sooner! I like this one waayyy more. The art is so good, their twisted expressions, ahhh, I want more. I wish this had an official physical English copy. ╥﹏╥

I haven’t read this and probs won’t but I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing to criticise the art style if they genuinely explain their opinion properly instead of just going “the art fucking sucks now”.
It’s also understandable to be frustrated when the art of a Manhwa changes so drastically to something worse then it was, because the art is the core of a Manhwa without it, it would just be a novel so yeah.
But I don’t think hate should be directed at the artist or author if people are doing that

There’s literally nothing wrong with preferring the old Mint Candy art style. I prefer it too. Even still, this is a serious overreaction.
Yes, people are allowed to have preferences. Yes, people are allowed to be disappointed. Yes, people are allowed to drop the series if they no longer like the artwork.
But if the general audience could handle the switch in artist from Plum to Mint, then genuinely what’s the issue now? That was a far more drastic change than this one. Honestly, this one isn’t much different—yes, there are differences, but they’re not that crazy. Definitely not crazy enough to make the leads unrecognizable. And certainly not crazy enough to warrant the excessive fixation on negatively receiving the new content.
At least reply in agreement to someone who’s already made their dissatisfaction known, I don’t see why everyone needs their own individual comment just to say it’s ugly.

I’m sooo glad the official is finally here! I’d been holding off reading the new chapters because I didn’t want the poor translation and quality to throw off my opinions. While I understand people being put off by the artstyle change, I honestly don’t find it too different from the Paws and Claws change, so while I prefer the original, I am going into this with an open mind. So happy to see Yeonghan again^^! I’m nervous for what this season has to offer.
If this leads to time loop, does that mean my red headed maniac, Yeonghyeon, will return?
I wanted to say “well that escalated quickly,” but honestly it’s very in character for Lan Si to immediately jump into it because he doesn’t want his mermaid man to have time to change his mind. He really loves seizing every opportunity he gets.
Also, I wish more people commented on the tiny detail of his tongue ridges. I love little things like that. I love Lan Si.
I am a huge Yeonghan fan. I loved him when he was just the brother of the main character, and I loved him even more when I found he had his own story. He’s such a brat, loser, uptight cringelord, pathetic little man and I adore it. Their dynamic is so fun. I couldn’t wait for more.
That being said, I haven’t read past the first season yet. I absolutely lovedd the first season, and was desperately excited for it to return. While I was disappointed the art would change, I reminded myself the art was already different from my original introduction to Yeonghan. If I was okay with the switch from Plum Candy to Mint Candy, surely I could handle another. Besides, who doesn’t love seeing your fave in multiple art styles?
My biggest gripe, however, is that it’s being uploaded by… sigh. I didn’t wait for it to return only for it to be haphazardly scanlated. This is disappointing. I’m going to wait before I read the new season, in hopes someone better comes along to give it the translation it deserves.
