Crying bcz they've totally ruined the beauty of the novel.. cutting details, rushing the whole story which is making readers confused.. ruined the depths of emotions, feelings.. this is totally failure..they just turned a legendary novel into some mid level story.. every time a new chapter drops,i cry out of frustration like wtf is this actually!
What are details they are leaving out? I'm curious. I had started to read the novel but the sight I was reading off of was bad, it was hard to read so I don't know everything.
When zhenya was choking taekjoo,there was more intensity... Taekjoo was laughing at zhenya which made zhenya snap out of his madness n he leaves taekjoo..in manhwa,it wasn't shown..

The biggest loss IMO is Taekjoo’s internal narration. In the novel you get much more of his fear, confusion and paranoia while he's trapped on the island. You can actually feel how terrifying it is for him to realize that he isn't just being held by Zhenya anymore—now there are other people on the island who are actively trying to find/kill him. The manhwa obviously can't fit all of those thoughts in, so a lot of that psychological tension disappears.

Can someone help me understand why Taeui wants to go back to Ilay?
Even if Xinlu is being nice to him, why doesn’t Taeui want to choose him instead?
Xinlu said that his hatred for Ilay is greater than his feelings for Taeui. Does that mean Xinlu doesn’t like Taeui anymore? If he doesn’t, then why is he keeping Taeui captive?
And if Taeui wants to go back to Ilay now, why didn’t he go with him earlier when Ilay came to rescue him? Why does he suddenly want to go back to Ilay now?
Also, what about Taeui’s big brother? Taeui was worried before that Xinlu might harm his brother, so if Taeui leaves Xinlu for Ilay, does that mean he’s no longer worried about his brother being in danger?
I’m genuinely confused .. What is actually going on with Taeui, Ilay, and Xinlu?

What’s hard to understand? He liked Xinlu at first but after finding out that he only liked Taeui because of his “gilsangcheon”, Taeui’s feelings faded.
Ilay isn’t Taes type but he just likes him. He said it himself he wants to be Ilays weakness.
But Xinlu ends up with someone better, I’m not going to spoil but he’s wayyy better off with his new partner.

At this point, this should’ve just become a straight manhwa Because honestly, I think Olga is a MUCH better match for Taekjoo than that mf scum Zhenya.
Despite having a demonic monster for a big brother, Olga is literally a sweet angel with a warm heart full of humanity and empathy. When Zhenya leaves Taekjoo half-dead on the floor, Olga is the one who nurses him back to life. She’s basically the reason he survives.
And Taekjoo returns that kindness too. When the FSB attacks the island while Zhenya is stuck in Moscow, Taekjoo saves Olga’s life.
After living in the same mansion, Olga sees how brutally Zhenya treats Taekjoo and actually feels empathy for him. She helps him escape from her own demonic brother, gets him a passport, and even arranges a way for him to leave Russia and return to Korea.
Like… OLGA WAS ACTUALLY THERE FOR HIM.
She helped Taekjoo when he was completely helpless without expecting anything in return, and Taekjoo genuinely appreciated her kindness. Their relationship actually has mutual care, trust, and gratitude instead of one person constantly traumatizing the other.
If this were a straight manhwa, Olga and Taekjoo would’ve been such a good match. They genuinely look good together too.

I think it’s odd to wish for a bl manhwa to be a straight one , olga was also the one to help taekjoo and zhenya be together and help their relationship not to mention olga is essentially somewhat taekjoos sister in law , you don’t need to like taekjoo and zhenya together but taekjoo doesn’t have any romantic interest in olga nor olga have any romantic interest in taekjoo not to mention the fact that when taekjoo escaped he had olga in a headlock so there wasn’t a lot she could do about the situation
