The stepfather was disgusting! He deserved a much crueler death. I'm not trying to victim blame but I kept getting super annoyed that MC kept on going back to him. The age gap between MC and ML didn't bother me too much because they were both consenting adults. Also, it's not as if ML raised MC, they both met as adults and were not family.
