Nothing irks me more than when a story has so many chapters of just a straight flashback. Like is it not possible to have these integrated into the current timeline? It feels like such a cop out for creative storytelling and stunts the momentum for me. Also, I'm so confused about how the MC was second in his class and is this dumb in the present timeline? It's like the story is trying to both feed the narrative of him being an underdog in school, then shit all over it later on in his life.
honestly i liked the time spent on the flashback because i got to see the characters where they were and then see where they started. it made all of the depth stand out more in the current time line. i think if i had to start with the back then and work up to the future it wouldn’t have worked. i also think it’s important to remember how long he’s been out of school. he’s someone that was only ever book smart because of this dedication as well as a distraction from the abuse. without a reason to study he never did. i would say though he’s still smart in a book way but dumb in decision making which has always been the case.
I'm on chapter 45 and had to skip through the main couple's sex scenes because it's too gross. The MC knows that the ML is suffering through DID and is still okay with satisfying his own desires with the ML's split personality. Please, someone, tell me this gets better cause what the actual fuck. Even if these are suppressed desires on the ML's part, this is nowhere near consensual and so unbelievably detrimental to the ML's mental state. Like it's affecting his work-life balance and his sleep patterns, all while the MC is just keeping him in the dark. Anyways, I'm loving the side couple way more
I gotta say... I came for the man tiddies and stayed for the wild plot. I know a lot of folks feel like the pacing has been a bit everywhere and that the storyline hasn't truly been fleshed out but I do sorta just enjoy this one for what it is. Considering I'm also reading Hounds of Sisyphus and Imperfect Combustion, I really need a story that's not stressing me tf out every damn time I see an upload. I'll comfortably suspend disbelief for this one lol
I've really been trying with this one but I can't for the life of me get over how the story is treating being twenty years old like it's the same as being five. Honestly I'm worried I'm about to feel really uncomfortable with any sort of intimacy from how much of an actual child Chan comes across as

Imma need the author to chill on the kid sh*t cause what do you meannnn a first love? Idc, everything about this is still weird as hell even if Yuri didn't have those intentions. Nothing about how any of this is phrased is acceptable
