His bf’s on and off behavior is WHY he is this way, it’s literally a tactic from abusers. He’s not being stupid to be stupid, the relationship has literally been twisted in a way that Mako is dependent on his bf for that companionship. And THAT is why the abusive bf’s tactics WORKED.
